CJER looked seriously unhappy at full time, any idea why?
Celebrated with fans at the end. Looked fine to me.

I'm not sure what you were watching if you thought 9 men outplayed 11, bonkers.
Thought we were poor today, especially for much of the first half. Clearly the red cards helped our cause no end, but they were still somehow able to push us all the way towards the end of the game playing with only 9 men which shouldn’t happen! CJ’s reaction at the end probably suggested as much.

However, a win is a win and 3 points is all that matters at this stage of the season.

Who are you suggesting we’re clearly the better team. Only one team deserved that win and they got it.
Quite obvious, really. We've struggled against them under VK and SP for the same reason. Individually, they were bigger, stronger and faster. We were in trouble. They got 1-0 up and should have scored 2 or 3 more. We were 2nd best for much of it with equal numbers.

If they had any ounce of professionalism about them, they should have completed the victory. We were still under the cosh against 9 men and needed a desperate last ditch tackle (by CJER) to save us.

I thought they bullied us and the ref allowed it. Eventually, it caught up with them. I've hardly ever seen a less disciplined 45 mins than that 2nd half. Even the red cards didn't stop their stupidity.

We won. I'm glad. I wasn't happy with the way Watford played. "Team" means many things. They were 11 individuals running around for themselve like they have been since they were bought out. Awful club with awful objectives.

Ultimately, we were the best "team" and "deserved" to win but we were unlikely to do so, for much of that match.

Should have scored 2 or 3 more, seriously?

Did you watch the game? Trafford was fantastic. Any normal keeper would not have kept them down to 1. Just the finger tip before we equalised was a save of the season.

Yeah it would have been a wonder goal. Saying they should have scored 2 or 3 goals more than they did is stretching the truth, a lot.

It was going in as a wonder goal. It wasn't going wide. It took the finger tip of an outstanding keeper to save it. They had 2 or 3 other very good chances that went straight at JT and a couple that he made very good saves. 2 or 3 really is not stretching any truth. Add the wonder tackle from CJER.

When you get home from your long journey, watch the replay and see it for yourself. We were poor until we scored a fantastic equaliser. We could easily have lost against a professional team. They were anything but disciplined and professional.

I didn’t go to the game, I watched it at home so I don’t have a long journey.

Of course they had some chances, like we did. They nearly scored a world class goal which was prevented by a world class save. They *shouldn’t* have scored 2 or 3 more goals however. If Watford had scored 4 goals today it would have been a complete freak.

How many should we have scored? With all our dominance against 9 men.

Not long back-Trafford kept us in the game several times. Cullen was outstanding. Some brilliant play by EJR on several ocassions. His reading of danger and snuffing it out is absolutely superb. Shame to see people critical of our performance. Not always enjoyable but the pressure at the top of our Division with 4 games to go is immense. Huge credit to Parker and this team. Have seen the last two away games-Coventry & today. Both times we went behind but found a way to win against two decent sides. Onwards and upwards

Just seen Trafford's big save, despite being at the game I did not appreciate how unbelievable it was for a ferocious shot going top right corner

Brownhill scored a tap in and missed another good chance. Flemming scored a difficult chance and missed another good one. I’d say 2-1 was pretty reflective of the 90 minutes, including our dominance against the 9 men for the last 25 mins or so.

These types are always the biggest hypocrites as well. Last week he described a free kick we took as a "baffling piece of absolute dogsh1t". A far worse description than anything on this match thread.

Thank you.

I'm glad you thought it was going so well after 40 mins. I thought it wasn't.

I think their lack of professionalism showed through. I supposse it is why they are where they are.
Had JT not pulled off such a fantastic save seconds before the equaliser, I fear the worst.

Who cares about ifs and buts. We won. We found a way. I think we were lucky.

Enjoy it and worry about getting your write-up sorted for tomorrow. Ensure its accuracy. You're normally very good. 20 years of agreeing with most of what you say affords a few dissagreements. This is clearly one.

To be fair I know traff saved us but sometimes us going one down early is a good thing,we literally have no choice but to go at teams.cracking game and on balance we were deserved winners.

I was at the game, and never really felt worried that we were going to concede again once we went 2-1 up.

Not sure what you're going on about. Are you Boss Hog in disguise. My comment was to him. Football is all about opinions. Some right, some wrong.

Re-watch the game. We were defending desperately near the end. Our defenders were hoofing it aimlessly clear. How often do we do that? Is that the way SP sets us up? My comments are based on it being a game where I thought we were let out of jail by their indiscipline. If you think otherwise, then fine. Overall, we won, enjoy it. It takes many ways for teams to win games and we found a way when we were individually up against it. We didn't create much. I thought Watford should have won once they were ahead. I couldn't see us scoring until that fantastic equaliser. I thought it was going to be one of those games.

Regarding targeting, I'm replying to people who took issue AFTER the game had finished. This thread was a match thread. My comments were made during the game, after which you commented. Fine but I'm certainly not targeting you. I have immense respect for what you do. I've been with you from CISA days, through FM and onto here. In most discussions, and your match articles, I agree with your outlook. I'll happily let it rest. I had done so yesterday. I hadn't realised that replying with my opinion was causing such issues. On to Monday.

Do you suggest I keep my eyes closed or continue to see what I saw yesterday when I thought they were open? At least I don't have to write a report for this game, a bit difficult with eyes closed wouldn't you say?

I am suggesting that we were defending desperately towards the end. Against 9 men.

I am suggesting that the game was one we really could have lost against a well-organised, professional, disciplined outfit once we were 1 down. Derby, Oxford, Millwall and Even Oxford showed how to do it and they were not in any better position than Watford were.
