Good news. £8m is pretty decent value.

Re: Jaidon Anthony
That's decent value. He's been an integral part of a record-breaking team 31 unbeaten.
Re: Jaidon Anthony
Very good deal that.

Unfortunately not good enough for the league we're going in.
But we'll have a few in that gang, so as always, we'll just have to get on.

He's had some stick on here but I think he's been great, always gives 100%
Re: Jaidon Anthony
Seems odd that he would have been more expensive had we not gone up. Has the whiff of bull.

Best 1st touch of any player I have ever seen in a Burnley shirt (and many others)

Great news. We need to go into next season with our core group from this season (today's starting 11 plus Laurent, Humphreys, Worrall) and then add more good characters into that.

Re: Jaidon Anthony
£8m would be a bit of a steal for him.
Re: Jaidon Anthony
Individually the vast majority of our squad won’t be good enough for the PL. We’ve just got to hope we’re greater than the sum of our parts, like we were under Dyche.Bin Ont Turf wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 11:18 pmUnfortunately not good enough for the league we're going in.

I’m looking forward to the test, and at the very least we’ll put up a greater fight than we did last season.
We’re not getting anything better than Anthony for £8M, which is peanuts really, and buying the players that got us promoted, which is what we didn’t do last season, should stand us in decent stead should we come back down again.
The worst thing we can do is buy a lorry load of foreign mercenaries that want to leave if and when we get relegated. We’ll end up in the same situation we did at the start of this season, which is just self defeating. Slowly, we need to move away from these wholesale changes to the squad that we’ve seen.
