Re: Own up - your worst prediction
I thought Luton would win the league with being hard to beat and having two very good centre forwards.
Before the season started obviously.

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
Definitely promoted. But with Pace as chairmen then 23rd...
Re: Own up - your worst prediction
I never posted it but early on during the bore draws I was beginning to predict we were heading for playoffs at best.
At times early on it was really hard to watch.
I think a lot of us thought the same, and are all happy to be wrong.

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
I feared the worst around the time we got beat by Wolves in the League Cup-followed by defeat at Sunderland. Got more optimistic after winning at Leeds

He went to meet Parker who, was on his holidays, got the right man for his 2nd appointment

We'd end up in the playoffs and face blackburn who'd turn us over. Said this on the longside and I was called a ******* fan for it

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
I thought we would come third or fourth without a striker in January. Edwards is not really a striker so I'll take it on the chin.
Unbelievable job by the squad, the manager and the coaching staff to achieve what they have without a real striker.

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
I didn't think we'd get in the play offs because of all the carnage at the beginning of the season. I didn't think any manager would be able to put a competitive team together that quickly

Can't think of a bad Burnley prediction, but I'll make one now, hoping that I'll come out of it smiling.
Burnley will finish in the bottom 6 next season, and I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
It was a prediction I'm sticking with: Burnley 1st, Leeds 2nd. Probably on the wrong thread, because it's a good prediction.

Got the top three correct, but in the wrong order!! I had :
Dirty Weeds
The Blunts

After the carnage from the mass exodus - I thought barely scraping into the playoffs was the best we could hope for. SP has done a magnificent job.

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
Yep I'll have to wear that one too. I still have hope he'll turn things around though.
In terms of our season I predicted 3rd-4th early on, and while not a terrible prediction I'm delighted to be wrong. Our defensive record is just bonkers.
Re: Own up - your worst prediction
That two points per game will guarantee promotion. (Might still do).

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
Like someone else above, I thought Luton Town would be the team to beat this season. They had done the best of the three promoted clubs in the PL, making the best fist of staying up, and had quality (I thought) options. But they've imploded.

Re: Own up - your worst prediction
I thought we’d finish 7th with all the upheaval. Very happy to be proved wrong.
Re: Own up - your worst prediction
Playoffs at best and don't lose to them lot. Same prediction as last time we were in the champ
