Re: Team for next season...
A lot of comments about Amoundi, I thought in that first game against City he looked a real livewire and threat, already commented he looked the one standout player at Sunderland. I think Parker would really develop him, however, really encouraged when you look at the squad being built, our future is bright.

Re: Team for next season...
I think Parker will focus on physicality next season.
I would expect Brownhill and Laurent to feature heavily.
I think flair players like Edwards, Tresor and Amdouni will likely be rotated. I doubt he will ever start with more than 1-2 flair players. Mainly because I don’t think we can afford to at that level

Re: Team for next season...
don't think steve, traf, CJ, tresor, brownhill or foster will be with us next season.
Not sure about Amoundni or Koleosho either.
I'd like to be wrong, but I think the team for the first match of next season will have 5 or 6 new signings.
I hope that SP stays and gets to recruit players who fit his style of play rather than raw talent players who will increase in value.
I am hoping Mr Pace has reflected on the last time we were promoted and our recruitment policy.

What a real boost it would be for Beyer to return, especially fully fit, I think he would have so much he would want to prove to himself and the club for the support they have provided throughout his recovery.

Re: Team for next season...
Never fancied Worrall as a back up in the Championship, let alone in the prem. In the appearances he has made he's looked way too slow imo, OK may offer height and physicality, but way too slow.burnley007 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 8:16 amAlready looking like a decent side before we properly sign anyone.

Benched Brownhill and Anthony - arguably our two most creative players - for Amdouni and Tresor?burnley007 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 8:16 amAlready looking like a decent side before we properly sign anyone.

Re: Team for next season...
We’ll need at least 5 upgrades in the starting XI alone. Yes, we don’t want to rip up the team again but let’s not be foolish in thinking that team could compete in the PL. It’s a much higher level.

Re: Team for next season...
Amdouni, Tresor and Ramsey all looked a bit lightweight in the PL. A fully committed Amdouni could maybe come good with some Parker input, Ramsey - who knows what he will be like after his injury. Tresor - let’s hope we get some money for him.
Re: Team for next season...
Having one of Edwards, Amdouni and Tresor in an 11 is a luxury, let alone all 3, simply no chance.burnley007 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 8:16 amAlready looking like a decent side before we properly sign anyone.

Our main weakness last time was a lack of physicality and height, it’s something we need to address. I’d sign Leander Dendoncker to play alongside Cullen, last year of contract at Villa so won’t cost a lot, and plenty of PL experience, fairly tall.
I also think Parker plays 3-4-3 / 5-2-3 more often next season so I’m expecting a new, dominant cb and right wing back.

Re: Team for next season...
Does anybody really think Amdouni and Tresor will still be here, fighting fit and raring to go for Burnley next season?
Re: Team for next season...
I don’t think it will, there’s a lot of togetherness this time around.CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 9:06 amOur current team has two games left before it gets carved up.
Parker is positive on CJ & Josh.
Other than Traff & Steve I can’t really see who else would be sold/wanted by other clubs.
We need to do some carving up of our own with all the loan players and those who haven’t really made much contribution this season, Redmond, Benson, Foster, Sonne etc.
