7.10am. Made a cup of tea and gazed at the back garden for a bit before looking at this board on my phone.

6:40 my 5 year old got me up. Sorted his breakfast, then made a coffee and watched the SKY highlights of yesterday.

Just after 5.

Did a mindful meditation on gratitude.

nothing to do with getting up although I was up at 8am tidied up the kitchen washed dishes ,we have had a sleep over with 2 of the grandchildren so lots of dishes etc that they had used and wanted new ones every time they wanted more ice cream.
But what I did want to make comment on was that you had walked round Towneley , we went to Towneley park on friday with the grandchildren its some 4 years since last went parked near the play park and the ice cream van with the 2 ice creams for £9 (did not get any ) but the play park was great the zip wire the climbing frame with a good slide. But the highlight was the 2 hrs they spent in the sand pit area with water wheel and sit on metal diggers to which they built 2 castles with moats and filled with water. Obviously the cream joggers they both had on were not cream after Grandma still trying to get clean !!! . But as I sat watching them and looking round Id forgotten just how nice it is. I went to Towneley school in the 70s and used to sometimes walk up to the hall in lunch break. 2 men were talking about how ''you would think there would be football pitches here'' And then realised that when id been as school there were the upper and lower football pitches and a grass running track.

Obviously I knew the school had gone and that were the lower pitches were there is a newish school with Rugby posts on Ignatious Redhead (head master at Towneley) would never have allowed that. did not go to check upper Towneley so not sure about if there are still pitches up there.

I’m sure a lot of Aussie Clarets can relate to waking up on a Sunday morning with a pit in their stomach. Anxious to see the result. I never look on clarets Mad. Always BBC Championship.

I woke in the middle of the night for Sheffield Utd.

It’s worse on the midweek games. I get up and have to follow BBC live text.

Following that Sunderland game was agonising, The amount of time the live text took to update on that 2nd penalty. I started believing…… Then it was reality. Traff had saved it!!!!

Such is the life of a different time zone Claret.

My sister in Australia was looking forward to our game yesterday on Bein but they changed it to the Coventry game at the last minute.
I was visiting her a few weeks ago and managed to watch all the Burnley games but it took some doing timewise

I’m a terrible watcher tbh. I could get up in the night to seek out the game on some dodgy stream. But it would ruin me ha ha!

After being up at 4am yesterday to do airport run as Mrs W has gone away, and staying up for the boxing last night, I was hoping for some sort of lie in this morning and set alarm for 8 as needed to be up, ready & out for the kids football by 10

I was awake at 6:30

Irrelevant but I’d have been up 2hrs earlier watching a re-run if the bastards at sky hadn’t moved us to the red button.
