I think I'm right in saying that the Bedingfields are the only brother & sister to have solo number 1 singles in the UK.

Not as pathetic as the boos from some fans when Tresor came out
I was gone by then mate didn’t see it. That’s shameful more so than having Natasha singing

Got to say I bloody loved the fact that the club organised for Natasha Bedingfield to play. Great reward for the lads and a nice little bit of PR.
Think by the time she came out, most of the fun had been squeezed out of the atmosphere due to the wait.
But credit where it’s due - it was brilliant fun!

What’s not to like about this? This is about the players, it is their anthem. Fair play to Natasha Beddingfield for doing it and she must be proud that one of her songs inspires a group of a footballers.

I’m usually over critical of the Owners mainly because of the wasted money the interest rates cost us
The prat’s in the yellow hats tried to end all todays celebrations and that’s why whoever up and left did so
Having said that I think the Natasha Bedingfield appearance was an excellent idea

Spot on. We’ve got no idea what’s been going on.
Just imagine for a minute he’s had mental or genuine physical health issues and then gets singled out for being booed during what should have been a celebration.
I don’t believe for a minute that he’s been refusing to play or anything remotely close to that. If he had, there’s absolutely no way Parker and the squad that we’ve lauded all season for their togetherness would allow him to be anywhere near the squad, let alone come out for an ovation today.
[/quote]
Exactly I don't for one minute think Parker would have him around the squad, look at the way he dealt with Shelvey.
The players all seem to really like the bloke too, there's no way the players would accept him getting paid full wage every week to choose to sit out whilst they're travelling the country fighting for promotion.
Alan Pace didn't help the situation with his comments but I think there has been something genuine going on and the fans booing is really poor.

This could have gone down like a lead balloon. But I thought it went quite well. Somehow my 8 y/o knows the song, and my kids really enjoyed it. They met her after the game, by chance, as she was leaving, and she had a nice chat and a high five with them.
Having now also seen the video of them singing in the changing rooms, I have to say I think it was a great idea
Well done Burnley Football Club

It was a bit strange at first, but all good fun and obviously well received by the squad if the dressing room clips are anything to go by.
Tresor being booed was so poor, I just don’t know what goes through the heads of some of our fans.

They could roll out Elton John with his yellow piano and some people would criticise it because he’s a Watford fan.

The only disappointing thing about this was that there was a rumour going round the JHU that there was a “special announcement” after the game.
I enjoyed watching Natasha, but I’d convinced myself they were announcing that Egan-Riley or Brownhill had signed new contracts.

I have it on good authority that Natasha Bedingfield only showed up because she’s good friends with Mike Tresor.

The ones who didn't like it are the ones that had already left for the pub in protest of not being able to run on the pitch.

Not my cup of tea but she was fine. The big gap after the players left and they spent ages setting stuff up completely sucked the atmosphere out though.
It was completely flat by the time they finally started bringing the players out. And then the focus mainly seemed to be on Natasha Bedingfield rather than the players which, to be honest, is why most of us were there.
They could have had her perform in that big spell of dead time and it might have kept some atmosphere going.

My advice: don't spend so much time worrying about how other people behave, especially at bloody football matches, and letting it frustrate you. Concentrate on what you can control and you'll be happier for it.

She was good fun, well done for organising, better than Chico and the performing dogs
Our club couldn't run a pissup in a brewery though. Didn’t say she was performing so 50% sodded off. The stewards had the biggest tug of war contest ever then a mob of them kettled the players over to the Director’s box. That and the Leeds (deserved) late winner killed the atmosphere like a fart in a sauna. Really did all feel quite bemusing. The players didn’t have a clue what they were meant to do. But Natasha was a good sport.

I'm not sure anyone could predict that 50% of our "fans" would leave after the end of season game, at home, after gaining promotion at 1230 kick off on a bank holiday weekend. Not even mystic meg would have called that one.

Absoluely this.
At the final whistle, why didn't they announce that she'd be performing shortly? Great idea to bring her in and she was great, but you cannot begrudge people for leaving, when there was no indication as to why they should stay.

Was it 50% that left?
Longside looked pretty full, as did the Cricket Field and Bob Lord.
I sit in the Jimmy Mac Lower so it must’ve been the entire upper tier that vacated.

Righto. You've got an, erm, interesting perspective on what constitutes enjoyment, but that's what the internet has turned some people into I suppose.

Already celebrated promotion the week before, even still, there was no communication there, just way OTT stewarding that (as others have mentioned), even the players looked fuming with.

We celebrated promotion organically following a tense and stressful 90+ minutes last Monday. Obviously the celebrations were going to be muted today, particularly as we came within minutes of winning the title and having something new to celebrate. Even the players looked downbeat at the full time whistle and Brownhill had to whip them up. I found the wait after the game a bit testing but nevertheless stayed to show appreciation to the players, but mainly because you don’t get to celebrate seasons like this all too often.
As for Tash, she did a good job. It was a bit odd and random but something a bit different and a decent bit of light entertainment.

Finally after 141 years we've got a proper club song. Stoke have "Delila", Liverpool have "Whenever you Walk Alone" and now Burnley have "Unwritten". Well done Mr Pace for getting NB performing and it would be good to play this just before kick off every home game and get the fans singing along like Forest do with that John Lennon song ("You Fill Up My Senses")

Mate is there any chance you could just give this nonsense a rest for a few days? I know this “your thing” but it’s boring at the best of times - I’m sure people would think more of you if you just had a little break for a while.
I think DA's posts are always very insightful and a good contribution to the board.
