Absoluely this.

At the final whistle, why didn't they announce that she'd be performing shortly? Great idea to bring her in and she was great, but you cannot begrudge people for leaving, when there was no indication as to why they should stay.
How about saying thanks to the players and family?

Great vids on you tube of her and the team partying in the dressing room and singing of course. The spirit between the group looks amazing. Might help us to keep one or two who otherwise might leave UTC

I'll be honest, I'd never heard of the song, or Natasha Bedingfield, until we saw the players singing it in the dressing room at Ewood.

But brilliant to get it organised whoever did it.

Just a shame the players didn't have a Stones song in the dressing room instead though. I'd have loved to have seen them on the pitch singing.

I think Mick and Keith would have kept us there until midnight.

I reckon Paul Fletcher will be on the blower to Alan trying to flog him a StadiArena after witnessing that.

For 2 weeks she has been in my head more than Hannibal in a Leeds fans head.

I like the songs of Natasha and Daniel. There is an Australian rom-com with Unwritten as the theme song of the film and is also sung chorus style in the film by the cast.
Shame about the accident. Changed lives.

Players have loved the song all season so it was a great thing for the club to do for THEM. Any business wants to do nice things for its employees and Alan is no different clearly, this will have cost north of 10/20k.

Would have been better if the players didn’t leave the field yes but keeping the fans waiting has been a theme of the season, and some aren’t for waiting :D

Have to say, I sit pretty in the middle of this debate.

Personal opinion is that it’s poor of our fans to not be able to stay and give the team some support after a 100 point season, 33 unbeaten run, unbeaten at home and a defensive record the likes of which we’ve never seen before and likely never will again. The pubs were rammed as I was walking away, so seems for many it was just to go for a pint. Before anyone gets all worked up about that, it’s just an opinion - they can do what they like in the same way I can say I don’t understand or agree with it.

Also, in fairness to the club, they brought those speakers out pretty quickly so it was obvious something was about to happen.

But the flip side is that the constant entering the pitch warnings and the half a million stewards did kill the atmosphere a bit (along with the Leeds goal, of course). The club have to learn that all that stuff isn’t appreciated by fans. They also could’ve said a special guest was coming on and at least tried to make people stay. The positioning of the podium was completely weird.

Anyway, we stayed and it was fantastic. Brilliant effort for the club for organising it and it was a great atmosphere at the end. Brilliant way to sign off a fantastic season.

Wouldn’t really say they’re “sad”, not a word I’d use. I just can’t understand why at the end of a record breaking season, all those achievements I’ve mentioned, you wouldn’t want to stay and applaud your team. Especially on a Saturday early kick off. And definitely not just to get a pint. But that’s just me.

Not sure why I'd want to stay and cheer the family

I stayed and thanked the players after promotion

I clapped the players off after a good win at QPR

I clapped the players off after a good win on Saturday

What else do I need to stay for, even if I'd known there was going to be a performance from Natasha?

Nobody is under any obligation to stay but I do think it was a shame that so many left. Clearly the last minute goal for Leeds sucked the life out of everything to a degree but the club constantly amazes me by seemingly having no idea how to manage these things.

There was a 15 minute void where literally nothing happened. No players, no announcements, no music, just nothing at all. It wouldn't have been hard to fill that with something. Some interviews, some information, some music, some highlight reels, just something. If not for the benefit of the supporters, for the benefit of the players who deserved to celebrate in front of a full stadium rather than half empty stands. 2 years ago it was similar, 2 weeks ago it was similar (albeit with the added task of removing people from the pitch) but nobody seems to have noticed or figured out how to remedy the situation.

It was inevitable that watching two blokes carry a podium the length of the field (why not store it over there if it was going to be placed there) and set it up incorrectly in front of an empty away end wasn't going to be enough to keep people in the ground.
