I love the podcast but I do feel they all play it safe and never really commit to anything just in case, a lot of skirting around the edges and not too often getting to the point of the debate. Not one of them admitted what a lot are thinking that maybe just maybe Scotty is not the right man for the job............I think he's lacking that killer instinct and it's finally rubbed off on his players.
This aged well .

There’s one chap on the pod still harping back to the number of dull draws and earlier style of play like it should have been better. No acknowledgement that the team have just become more and more confident and expansive throughout the season as they have grown together. Worth remembering that this team may only be the 7th or 8th team to ever get 100 points in a championship season when we criticise parts of the path that have allowed us to do that.

Yep! - SP were laying the defensive framework and gaining cohesion through the squad; if the team was to abandon that during those 'drab draws', chasing wins, abandoning shape, treating them like cup ties, then we wouldn't be where we are right now.

It was frustrating then, and it is still frustrating now that people can't see it, especially those broadcasting their opinion about the team!

It is possible to harp back to those dull draws, and the style of play at that time, and acknowledge that the team has improved throughout the season as well. You speak as though the position we are in today was inevitable, and that's a load of ********. It was far more likely, though thankfully didn't transpire, that all those boring 0-0 draws would cost us come the end of the season. It hasn't, brilliant, but all it would have taken is 1 goal, in any of those 12 matches, and the title would be in our hands.
So be happy and celebrate that it all turned out right in the end, but don't pretend that the people who bemoaned that period of the season didn't have legitimate concerns.

And you think the results for ourselves, Sheff United & Leeds would have been exactly the same thereafter had we had two more points instead of a draw in any one of those matches?

The table would have looked different so the mindset of other managers would have changfed.

I haven’t suggested any of those things that you suggest I have in terms of inevitability. The team have lost 2 games all season and the same person moaning on that podcast was doing the same thing on steroids when we lost at Millwall. At that point we had lost 2 after an overhaul of personnel and management. I enjoy listening to the podcast but some of the stuff that has been spouted all season is nonsense. It’s almost as though one of those presenters hasn’t lived through Dyche sorting the defence out first in a very similar way to how Parker has done it. They clearly expected perfect defence and attack from day one which is really never the case unless you are in cloud cuckoo land

Not as frustrating as people claiming this kind of stuff when they clearly haven’t listened to pod after pod praising Parker for this season and making the point that the bore draws laid the foundation for what came later.

I listen to the pod mate! I enjoy it.

I don't understand bringing it back up, but whatever. Some people still seem to think that the only other possible outcomes in those 0-0s were Burnley wins.... football doesn't work like that!

No worries! Sorry, you aren't the only person I've an unreasonably snapped at in the past hour or so!

Just to pick up on what Greavsy said on the pod about Tresor coming on to the pitch after the Millwall game, I think he’s spot on when he said that Parker wouldn’t have him around the place or the squad if there was something untoward about his absence.

Couple that with the brief footage of him on the mission to Burnley video posted by the club recently . I think this reaffirms the point slightly and is possibly a slight indication from the club that, in fact Tresor is here but isn’t at all fit to play football for whatever reason.

Will we ever find out? Probably not, do I want him to come back in the summer and prove he’s a player for Burnley ? Of course, I think we all do, even the most hardened moaners wouldn’t disagree there ……I think.

Did anyone see him at the parade tonight?

I’ve thought this as well.

We’ve seen the players social media comments about Tresor and if he was a “bad ’un” I think we wouldn’t have seen him around the club posts.

We heard the “rumours” around Shelvey and he wasn’t announced or brought out at Saturday’s game.

I’d forgotten about Shelvey to be honest, but I agree regarding the social media stuff, his team mates always popping up on his posts I believe .
