Bristol City v Blades
First leg tonight, Sheffield United will want a good result to take back to
Bramall Lane, Brizzle keen to take something up there.
Come on BC.

Bristol need to keep it tight. Stay in the game.
Here’s hoping their keeper has a standout performance, they’ll almost certainly need it.

Re: Bristol City v Blades
I thought Bristol were very poor versus ourselves and even worse against Leeds. They’ll need to show a big improvement to come through this over two legs.

Re: Bristol City v Blades
Bristol didn't look great in either game against us and are just one of a bunch of extremely average (being kind) teams who were in and around the play off picture. Head says Sheffield win both legs tbh, but heart really wants City to pull something out of the bag.
Re: Bristol City v Blades
Best for us if bristol city go up. They haven't a hope in he'll of staying up and probably wouldn't be in the same market as us for players.

Even though it irks me to say it, I'd rather have the team that won 90 points, rather than the one that ended up on 68.

Second that. These last couple of weeks have been lovely since the Sheffield Utd game. I hated the play offs. Worst game I’ve ever been to until the final whistle

Re: Bristol City v Blades
They had a go down there in the second half down there but you are right, a group of clubs who were in and out of those bottom two playoff positions. Two of them had to make it but the gaps this season between fifth & fourth, then fourth & third, then third & second are unprecedented.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 7:55 pmBristol didn't look great in either game against us and are just one of a bunch of extremely average (being kind) teams who were in and around the play off picture. Re: Bristol City v Blades
Not seen a replay yet but .... that's got to be offside?
Re: Bristol City v Blades
Good call. I think the defender clears it without the shield.
Re: Bristol City v Blades
Correctly called offside.

Come on Bristol City. My most hated teams in order - Manure, B*stards, Leeds, Sheff United.

Re: Bristol City v Blades
was he actually offside ? The only replay I've seen he looked at worst level but it wasn't the greatest angle tbh
Re: Bristol City v Blades
His shoulder in front of Campbell.
Re: Bristol City v Blades
Think his shoulder is offside.
Re: Bristol City v Blades
Wilder dishing out some foul language to the referee but that was absolutely the correct decision.

The bloke on the line would be off if he touched it but it went in before that and didn’t touch him

Re: Bristol City v Blades
Great shot rattles the Sheffield United bar.
Re: Bristol City v Blades
The bloke on the line is off because he stops the defender clearing it, very obviously interfering with play.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 8:16 pmThe bloke on the line would be off if he touched it but it went in before that and didn’t touch him
Re: Bristol City v Blades
But he kept the defender from getting a boot on the clearanceHibsclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 8:16 pmThe bloke on the line would be off if he touched it but it went in before that and didn’t touch him

Re: Bristol City v Blades
Don’t think he’s keeping it out though and also dont think the officials based it on that.
Re: Bristol City v Blades
Think he’s probably close enough to swing a leg at it. Probably wouldn’t have kept it out but if there’s a chance they have to give the offside.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 8:21 pmDon’t think he’s keeping it out though and also dont think the officials based it on that.

Re: Bristol City v Blades
Why does the Sky commentator keep referring to Nicky Wells, I was under the impression that his name is Nahki

Re: Bristol City v Blades
depends which way you look at it, if Bristol, Sunderland or Coventry go up then that's another team with parachute payments - if Sheff Utd come up it kind of stays the same should we all drop again and would give us less competition. All if's and buts, I'm expecting us to win the league tbh

Wasn’t expecting the red card
Re: Bristol City v Blades
He clambered all over his back, stopped a goal scoring opportunity. He can’t have any complaints.

Correct pen and red. Pulling Moore back with both hands before he got his foot on the ball.

Re: Bristol City v Blades
I’m sure the ref knows the rules. Yellow and pen.
Re: Bristol City v Blades
You can't pull a player back like that when he's clear through and expect to get away with it.
We would be fuming not to get that
