Yeah that's not what I meant and as you said I explained it. Bristol were way out of their depth tonight, I doubt that will be the case for whoever plays Sheff Utd at WembleyCrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Fri May 09, 2025 12:49 amNo, part of what the parachute money buys us is depth, and part of what depth buys you is resilience and durability. Sunderland go in fits and spurts, they are nowhere near our level over 46 games even if with their flair they can win the odd game against the leading sides.
(I know you have half addressed it but I’m replying to your direct reply to me earlier)

Sunderland have lost 5 on the bounce. Coventry will probably have enough to get past them but sheffield united will beat either in the final.

Let's hope the Blades screw up at Wembley
I have a feeling that Sunderland will come good.
Personally,I never bought into the Super Frankie Lampard is a manager hype.

From where they were when he took over he's done very well to get them into the playoffs.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Fri May 09, 2025 8:31 amLet's hope the Blades screw up at Wembley

They showed a graphic on SSN of the playoff hopefuls current form. Sheff U had won 2 lost 2 drawn 2, and they were by far the best of the 4. I don't think any team has gone into these playoffs with form, and on that basis I think Sheff U will walk it.

Re: Bristol City v Blades
Is it 9 times in the play offs for Blades and 9 failures?
Re: Bristol City v Blades
Coventry have the best recent record 3 wins one draw in last 6 League games. Sheff U 2 wins 1 draw Bristol C same as Sheff U Sunderland No wins 1 draw Lost 5. Be interesting to see the result tonight. Personally being 3-0 up Utd will make Wembley and I think will have enough to get through this time; but it is a lottery isn't it?Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Fri May 09, 2025 11:59 amThey showed a graphic on SSN of the playoff hopefuls current form.
