We can afford to keep discussions about Nick Pope on the nonsense thread further down the page.
Keep this thread readable eh?

If Trafford is to go , it has to be a huge fee . After this season and making the England squad at his age the money has to be ridiculous .

Lads, can we not include click bait on here?
Football League World is a load of desperate recent journalism graduates earning minimum wage to make make stuff up for clicks.

I can't help but feel this is getting a bit petty. Do you want to start a new thread entitled.

Lads, if you can give us a list of links/sites that you don’t approve of personally then I will try to avoid them in future.

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Isn't the distinction not so much between different publications, but between articles that include a concrete link or information/claims that advance what we know, and those that are pure speculation/hot air?
The Brownhill one linked above doesn't include any sort of link. It just says that if he went to Everton he might get X salary. The Trafford one includes some interesting new information. It isn't a surprise that the first one is FLW, because it's what they specialise in.

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
The Esteve and Trafford links feel the most solid of those on here in the last day or two. Those feel legit ones to include.
Trafford because of the detail that he would like to be a starter and quadruple his salary. Feels plausible.
Esteve because it could be a “come and get me” to Spurs, directly from the player and his interview has been widely reported.
As with any players when you are at Burnley some other clubs are too good to turn down, it was ever thus.
I am a little happier at LCB seeing as we have Bashir too who is nearly as quick, probably a better passer, and is far better with his weaker right foot, though I would prefer Steeeve to stay for another year.

We need £50m for Steve especially from Spuds or agree for him to stay for one more year.

Spot on. Football League World is the equivalent of people on the “Summer Window” thread suggesting targets for months on end in the vain hope that they’ll suggest someone that might completely coincidentally be on the clubs radar.claretspice wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 12:05 pmIsn't the distinction not so much between different publications, but between articles that include a concrete link or information/claims that advance what we know, and those that are pure speculation/hot air?

Of course. But I think this thread was set up to deal with more tangible speculation, with another thread already existing for more general conjecture. Doesn't feel unreasonable for someone to ask folk to bear that in mind so that when people choose to click on this thread, they're reading the sort of discussion that was intended. That's all.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 1:27 pmYou can pick and choose what you read on here can’t you?

Steeeve has said he wants to play for a top six prem side, that rules out spurs, no ?!

But I do agree that’s the kind of the sum we should be holding out for. A stump up the cash or get lost kind of deal

Yes, whereas "according to the chronicle" is as good as Alan Pace telling us himself.agreenwood wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 1:04 pmSpot on. Stop being big brother about it, if you're intelligent enough to recognise that some sources are more credible than others then you're also intelligent enough to chose which ones you read/believe.

Not if every time you come back to the thread it has grown 2 pages, and then you read it to find it is 2 pages of nothing.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 1:27 pmYou can pick and choose what you read on here can’t you?
I know I've just added to the problem, but surely you can accept that most people don't have all day to catch up on transfer links, there is already a thread for speculations.
Thank you.

Apparently we have been watching Abdoulie Manneh. Not the best source and I may be wrong but wasn’t out assistant manager from Sweden?

When Esteve got linked last week it must have made him post that thing on his Insta yesterday saying how much he is looking forward to playing for us next season.
Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Trafford should be about £40-50m now. England's next keeper, if progress continues. That would be the goung rate for ball playing, shot stopping keeper.

The option is £3M apparently. But he’s on £18k a week with 2 years left with us, so for a French team that’s pretty expensive.
Would take a few concessions from him, them and us to make that work
