New season is about to start so now is the perfect time to join / re-join the Xpert11 league.

Xpert11 is an online football management game that lets you build a team, set the tactics, make the press releases all whilst competing against like-minded people. It can take as little as 10 minutes a week to as much as 20 minutes an hour if you get hooked.

We have a Clarets Championship where there are currently 30odd active teams managed by Clarets fans. We're about to enter our 70th season.

If this sounds even slightly interesting to you then why not give it a go? You can sign up at the website http://www.xperteleven.com, once registered you can find the league using the league ID 43119. I'll then need to approve the application which will take up to a maximum of 24 hours.

You will be able to either take over an existing team that's sacked it's manager (for inactivity, not poor performance - you can be as poor as you want and stay in the job!) or start up an entirely new team.

The season will be a week or three away from starting but best to sign up now to get in before the door closes and so you can get the most from pre-season.

Any questions please feel free to fire away and I, or one of the league's many managers, will answer.

I joined this and got promoted in my first season but whilst on a phone upgrade iOs said that the app wasnt available anymore which stopped me being able to do it unfortuantely. I have just checked the app store again and nothing there

That's a shame. I don't use the app to play the game. I find it a lot easier just logging in via the browser on my phone.

Brilliant game, really enjoyed last season. Almost managed back to back relegations but bottled it in my last 5 games!

As Falcon says, it's an "easy" game - takes maybe 10 or 15 minutes of your time every couple of days. It's highly addictive though and there's a good-natured bunch playing and managing the other teams in the Clarets Championship. It can seem complicated at first but you get the hang of things after a few seasons (which only last a few weeks each).

Question : My player DVs are all showing with a - (as in -9)
Does that mean that player is minus 9, so he's worse than a minus 2, or is it just a programming thing so he's 9 (better than someone with 2)

If you have played before they used to have a 1-20 rating system.
Now 10 is counted as 0, so minus 9 is the old 1. A minus 2 will be the old 8.
+5 will be the old 15.

@falcon - how long does an activation email usually take? It's been about a week so far and it has not come through (not in Spam either). Have been back to check and it shows that my email address was correct, but I can't log in as 'account not yet activated'....

It's been a long old time since I first made my account, but I think the activation email came through pretty much immediately.

No spaces at the moment. I have a slot in a different private league if you wanted one to tide you over until a space becomes available in the Clarets League? Try league code 169319 and take over existing.
