Needs to get game time to get fully up to speed. Wouldn’t be shocked to see him get a 6 month loan spell somewhere.

Re: Summer transfer window
Not specifically related to transfers but Turky Alilsheikh , forgive the spelling , has been approached by many premier league and championship clubs to invest in them. The one name I’ve seen mentioned is Millwall. Given his bullishness in the boxing world this could propel a club forward potentially

Assuming that he has fully recovered. Not sure that is the case, he's obviously had a terrible injury.

I still fear for Beyers career, he’s been out for a really long time now, fingers crossed he has recovered fully from the injury and that he’s just picking up the workload now and working toward fitness.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 8:40 pmAssuming that he has fully recovered. Even then there will be lots of nightly injuries more than likely that will push his comeback even further back due to the body not being by conditioned to the strains after all the time out.
Good luck to him.

He had a fantastic season as did his brother.
However I think we should be aiming slightly higher

Hey, no worries. It must be a bit of a bugger though when they change the order of keys on your keyboard

Re: Summer transfer window
Yes, those nightly injuries can be a bugger. He wouldn't need a bad back on top of what he already has.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 9:11 pmI still fear for Beyers career, he’s been out for a really long time now, fingers crossed he has recovered fully from the injury and that he’s just picking up the workload now and working toward fitness.

Re: Summer transfer window
I get that he's 29, but I think his quality would make him a cheap option squad filler allowing us to prioritise other areas. I'd try to negotiate a 6 month loan with an option, at an agreed fee or similar. Ideally I'd try to get him here for a month pre-season to have a look, but I doubt all parties would agree.
I've liked him and his twin for several years and both seem to improve year on year.

I'm not sure that would apply. Leicester didn't play him because quite frankly RVN didn't know what he was doing. Everything is a punt to a certain degree some more calculated than others.

While Jordan Ayew is on around 35000 a week. They started winning at season end when they played him up the middle. Scored 5 goals in that shocker of a team. Good solid pro, the kind we’ll need.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 11:53 pmHe's apparently on £90,000 a week and carries serious baggage.

You must be joking-I have been told he is on £80k a week, been on loan at Leicester and played 3 games in that time. Has not made the squad in months. Leicester tried to send him back in Jan and his club Palace, refusedJakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 11:42 pmShould go for odsonne eduardo it's an achievable target.

I know all this. At some point you have to become realistic about demands & salary expectations he signed a 4 year deal in 2021 so that will be changing anyway.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 9:52 amYou must be joking-I have been told he is on £80k a week, been on loan at Leicester and played 3 games in that time. I don’t want Sheff United to get promoted.
I want to us to raid Sunderland for all their young talent.
I’ll just watch the cricket.

Suppose it’s time to say who we’d have from Sheff Utd then.
Hamer
Cooper
Peck
I like Mayenda’s potential at Sunderland

Wouldn't mind us going after Arblaster from Sheff Utd now they've lost. He's a real talent and they've not been as good since his injury.

Go and get hamer now he’s still in the championship! The player we need him and Hannibal is the definition of tenacious
Re: Summer transfer window
Juranović is indeed a solid right-back. He missed the first half of the season due to injury but came back well. Has lost his place in the Croatia team to Josip Stanišić but that's not a disgrace.
Juranović is a battler; he started in the Croatian third tier before signing for Hajduk Split. Then moved to Poland (Legia Warsaw) before heading to Celtic and then onto Berlin.
If there's truth in it it's a positive sign (IMHO).

Cooper is a very good keeper and I'd be surprised if he doesn't leave.
I agree, CoolClaret, Peck looks a player.

I hoped we could have signed Cooper instead of Trafford, not because i think he is better than Trafford but because i felt we'd have a better chance of keeping him for a few seasons.
He would be an ideal replacement if we sell Trafford in the next window.

Not good with his feet and that's a big problem in the Premier.
Would take Campbell, Hamer and possibly Souza although he was crap in the Prem last time.

I don't think Cooper is good enough for what we require if Traff is to go.
Viktor Johansson would be my Championship option, only a year older than Cooper as well.

That’s an interesting view as I personally think Cooper is a level above Johansson with his feet. VJ is an excellent shot-stopper but has made a few errors with the ball at his feet that has led to conceded goals.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 9:33 pmI don't think Cooper is good enough for what we require if Traff is to go.

They were playing some daft football in the beginning of the season weren't they Stoke under Pelach.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 9:41 pmThat’s an interesting view as I personally think Cooper is a level above Johansson with his feet. We don't really require that much football from our goalkeeper in this system do we?
I'd still be looking at a player like VJ as 2nd choice
Yeah, I'm not high on Cooper; I don't think he's particularly outstanding at any one aspect of goalkeeping. He's right where he's for me - a good championship keeper.
