An independent supporters association is a great idea and one we should all get behind. I’ve joined and looking forward to being part of community of like minded Burnley fans.

Has he got a southern 'rural' accent, certainly not Burnley accent?

As people will know, I got myself involved (too bloody nosy not to) and I've been hugely impressed with the others who have also signed up to get the association this far.

And it is so good to see people signing up, the more that do will make this association really stronger and they will offer the guidance as to what paths should be taken.

I think the link at the top, which is their press release from this morning, explains it better than I can on here, but ultimately its aims and objectives will be determined by those who become members.

Not trying to be negative, but if the club refuse to co operate with this group, what else can they do?

I believe the club have already indicated more than a willingness to engage with the association.

Nothing more than the costs in running it. It’s a not for profit organisation and the cost was kept as low as possible.

When you complete the application form you should get a confirmation page with a Checkout option. Click on Checkout and you then have the option of paying by card (including Apple or Google Pay) or bank transfer.

Firstly I hope nobody takes this as a knock, as it's often a thankless task running things like this.

I just personally feel the website looks very dated, the heading looks like some Windows XP Clip-Art. I guess there is a need to weigh up costs vs application and functionality. For example if the site will have it's own messageboard in the future? etc etc As initially it appears to be run by volunteers it would be unreasonable to expect an expensive website from the get go. I'd envision a solution such as a GoDaddy template website would be relatively inexpensive though in the future to modernise the overall appeal.

I just want this to attract as many people to get involved as possible.

EDIT: The website does actually look much better on mobile mode, so maybe it's just desktop browsers.

The Club don’t have to co operate but it would be odd not to engage with a body of their own supporters, would it not

According to CT they have shown a willingness

Plenty of examples of clubs not co operating with certain groups, my question was, if the club didn't, what else would the group do.

As already said, the club have already confirmed a willingness to engage, but as for what else, that is dependent surely on what those who have joined want the organisation to do.
