Re: Research project on the influence of Andrew Tate on masculinity
I know most of you will disagree with me but I don't really care.
My view on Andrew Tate is that he is an Agent Provocateur. I think his father was a CIA asset. I believe he has been allowed to rise to prominence and influence people in the way that they think and behave. You can add Farage, Trump, Robinson and many, many others to this list who incite hatred to stoke up emotions within the population. Half of the population despise them and the other half love them. You can also add Blair, Sadiq Khan, Starmer and others from the opposite side of the fence who raise the exact same emotions to the other half of the populace.
Politics like race, religion, gender, gender ideology, sexuality, even football is a way that the ruling class keep us divided. I haven't had a TV for years and barely keep an eye on current affairs as I just think it is all fear mongering propaganda to keep us enslaved. I accept politics for what it is-nothing but theatre.
People are always looking for others to blame, 'It's the militant left's fault' , 'it's the far right's fault', 'it's the Jews fault', 'it's the Muslims fault', 'it's Trump's or Biden's fault'. Everyone is being played and distracted. It's been going on for centuries. How far does it go back? To be honest I don't really know and don't care enough to waste any energy searching anymore.
I have learnt through hard won experience to ignore all the nonsense in the world and just focus on lots of prayer, meditation, connecting with friends and family, being at 1 with nature, eating healthy, exercising regularly and trying to be of service to others. Life's alright when I can align all these into place.

Whilst this sort of thing is certainly in play to a certain extent (see the never ending Tory culture wars), to suggest that everything is part of a grand plan is giving too much credit to any government.Anonymous Claret wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 6:31 pmI know most of you will disagree with me but I don't really care.

Some people are arseholes, and have found a way to monetise that to the gullible in the social media age.

Considering he's just been charged with rape and human trafficking in the UK, I think ther enjoy much to say
Re: Research project on the influence of Andrew Tate on masculinity
The Liberal establishment will not tolerate any dissent to their ideology.
As one of them once said:
"Give me the man and I will give you the case against him".

I can’t get over the fact that anyone thinks he’s anything except a massive dork.
He comes across as such a whiny loser.

Re: Research project on the influence of Andrew Tate on masculinity
You kind of contradict yourself because above you blame the Tories for the culture wars but here you accept he's a huge numb nuts who has monetised grievance whether real or otherwise and is barely worth considering.
Anyone with half a brain can see that he is not the problem. Mental health, drug dependency, a terrible economy that can't meet the needs of the country and falling living standards are creating an environment of legitimate grievances that create opportunities for those with who offer solutions: real or otherwise. It's not the Tories who have scapegoated Andrew Tate.
Anyway, with respect to this forum his case is now sub judice and if there is evidence he will get his comeuppance after a fair trial subject to the laws of the land - innocent until proven guilty, just as it should be in a liberal democracy. And that is that as far as I am concerned.

Re: Research project on the influence of Andrew Tate on masculinity
Thats all very nice, but what has it got to do with the fact that statistically its incorrect to assert that boys/men in their late teens and early 20's become a 'bit of a womaniser', which I was clearly referring to?ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 10:40 amDon't really want to contribute to this further but this is not really true. The incidents related to Incel are quite small and relatively few individuals are involved. The real issue with Incel is that when individuals are referred to PREVENT they are escalated meaning there is some justification in the referral and the small number of crimes have been terror like in that they have involved a number of victims.
The main factor is mental health issues. People with mental health issues are drawn to ideologies that feed their grievances. So, it's not easy to say that Incel causes the violence it's quite possible the people who are violent would find other grievances to justify their actions.
It's quite a complicated arena and often the media and people with very strong ideological traits want to find scapegoats and easy solutions but I think the real issue here mental health and other cultural factors rather than one person.

More likely some people like to live in the real world rather than spend their lives stuck in some false reality on the Internet.
Some people are so lost, especially kids, that they'll cling to any straw in order to float. As a society we've stood by and allowed it, instead of helping these kids, and shutting these sites down.
Those who haven't heard of Tate have far more sense than those who complain about him.
