As already said, the club have already confirmed a willingness to engage, but as for what else, that is dependent surely on what those who have joined want the organisation to do.
I was being polite and replying to a poster, pointing out what you'd said this morning

The Club don’t have to co operate but it would be odd not to engage with a body of their own supporters, would it not
They might wonder why they have to engage with a newly founded supporters group when they've already been engaging with the Clarets Trust for a number of years.

I was responding to a post that asked what the BFCISA would do if the club did not co operate with them, to which I said simply the club do not have to co operate but need only to engage and consider and respond

Joined. Hope this achieves its aims. I guess the clubs engagement with it will be key to any success? If enough of us join I’m sure the club are more likely to engage in a positive way?

Question. Joining has a supporters club. Does that give every individual in the club a say? Or just the person who signs up. Therefore do I put my own name in the boxes, or the supporters club name?
Thanks.

Rammy, I can answer that.

West Yorkshire Clarets will be joining as a group at a cost of £20, but I, along with anyone else that wants to from WYC, will be joining individually.

So…

If you personally want to join, it’s the £5 option

If you want to put get Melbourne Clarets in as a group then it’s £20.

Completely independent. That said, BFC ISA is not against the Trust or the FAB for example. We fully support such groups. BFC ISA has a different constitutional setup and we feel ISAs in general are a good thing for football clubs and fanbases. Hopefully this will prove the case at our club.

So on the application, do I just put my name? Or Melbourne in one box, and Clarets in second one. Or is there a separate section for supporters clubs? Because there doesn’t seem a place that would identify the difference.

If you are joining as yourself (£5) fill in the form with your own name. If Melbourne Clarets wish to join (£20) then I’d suggest putting Melbourne Clarets in the name fields.

The membership system used shows which type of membership has been submitted.

Who is involved in the running of this other than Simon Jackson who i don't know.? There are certain people involved in other fan organisations that i wouldn't consider joining if they were involved.

All listed on the website Herts but those involved are currently a steering group until the first AGM at which things will likely change.

Excellent initiative. Paid, registered and feedback provided.

This sort of thing is crucial. I believe it is imperative - now more than ever, that the fans - the heartbeat of the club, have a voice and a collective influence - however small, over the decisions that affect the club and fans. Whether that be changes to the way the club is run, club, community and fan initiatives to small things like goal music and ultimately impact the bigger picture of fan experience. The world is changing, fast. As is football. But what should remain is the recognition of the importance of the fan community - wherever they are based.

While there are differing views on the ownership of the club. (I have my own). Its important that whoever the custodians are of the club, never lose sight of the one consistent (many of us who have been here for decades) - the fans. We should ensure that the ownership remain as accountable as practical, transparent and open. The intentions appear to be sincere from the current regime. However they are also fortunate in that they have overseen a relatively successful period in the clubs history. We have seen with so many other clubs (Reading, Charlton, Bury among others) what can happen when things aren't going as well from owners that see the club primarily as an investment tool rather than a community asset. (or at least striking the balance between the two).

Great work from those who have put time in to get this off the ground and will do so to keep it going! Happy to be part of this, however small my part!

Ideally, there would be a process where the club think of an idea and ask whichever relevant group "Look, we are thinking about doing X, what do you think?"

I suspect we can all think of several mis-steps that could have been nipped in the bud that way, and as they weren't, it does make me question the efficacy of existing "consultation" mechanisms

To a degree we have to trust the ownership. They're better qualified than most of us in that respect. And by luck or judgement they have got a lot right - especially with hiring and firing. Who would have fired Dyche? almost none of us. Or hired Kompany or Parker - both made sense in many ways, but were also calculated risks. (Kompany more so). Our reputation on and especially off the field has never been better. So they have to take all of the credit thats due. But there remain concerns for me over the way they bought the club, and some of the as you say missteps that could easily have been avoided. But thats always going to be the case.

For me the voice of the fans is imperative as is a joined up, constructive relationship with the board (within reason - we can't have the fans feeling they need to be involved in the nitty gritty of every decision - we cant and wont even agree with ourselves half the time).

I imagine this group will be a good mechanism for this. There appear to be a broad set of fans involved, from different backgrounds, age groups and even - in your case, countries / cultures.

That can only be a good thing.

I think it’s a great idea and will be joining

Whilst the club have been doing well the ownership/ Pace have been very visible. However I remember when it wasn’t going so well, and it all went a bit quiet. Understandable to some degree, but if this association improves communication, and a wider birth of fan engagement, then I’m all for it.

It’s not an enemy of the club, or its ownership (the old school CISA was definitely against Teasdale), it’s there to help the club. We all want success for the club

Only 4 premier league teams aren't involved some way in multi ownership
And 400 clubs in total worldwide are involved
Agree or disagree, you can see why, as a club we are looking into it.

I fail to see how you can't see why people are concerned.

For some reason, the owners can do no wrong in your eyes.
How does that fit my reply to your post?

Some people are concerned, I've never denied that

Some people aren't.....it's life...just because they don't agree with your view, doesn't make them wrong

If you read my posts, yes I agree with most things the owners do, but critical of other things, it's called a balanced view.
