Dregs of society!

Post by Clovius Boofus » Wed Jun 04, 2025 9:03 am

Biker ‘deliberately hit goose’ at Burnley’s Towneley Park

Burnley Council has vowed to crack down on anti-social motorbike riding after a mother goose was ‘deliberately’ hit and killed.

Kirsty Butler-Flynn, from Burnley, was driving through Towneley Park on Sunday (June 1) and said she saw an “idiot” on a motorbike, with no helmet and travelling at high speed, "ride straight into the mother goose".

Despite people stopping to help, the goose died, leaving her goslings orphaned.

There seems to be a problem in Burnley / Padiham with stupid kids on bikes or motorbikes
The last occasions I’ve driven between the two towns I’ve had an of an off road bike tearing down the main road pulling wheelies at well over 30mph, no helmet of course.
Then there were 2 morons playing chicken riding bikes deliberately on the wrong side of the road at dusk, wearing black, no lights.

Unfortunately it’s everywhere now! Little scrotes need teaching a lesson or two! BUT when they get knocked off and killed it’s never their fault and they were the kindest sweetest kid ever to walk the earth that (pardon the pun) wouldn’t say boo to a goose!

Really sad to read. Absolute ****.

Fortunately these bikes are confiscated when they’re caught. The sooner they’re all destroyed the better.

As mentioned above it's not just Burnley. Most towns/cities seem to have them now. Goose today - elderly lady's handbag tomorrow.

Will be "such a well loved, heart of gold" type character when he comes off and hurts himself.

No time for types like this, send them to work camps

A few weeks ago, an elderly bloke told me about a narrow escape he had while walking in Towneley Park. Apparently, some kids were speeding about in a car like ****. He said he might not have managed to move away in time if he hadn't heard the tyres screeching.

Sadly we're well into the **** breading **** generation that was always going to happen once we started the "hug a huddie" culture and " little Johnny isn't a complete scumbag,.he's just misunderstood" mentality.

We've had massive issues with E bikes causing extensive damage on Nelson golf course, as have other sports clubs. They should be banned outright,.no need for them,.no need for such speed and they're a perfect tool for criminals to use..

When somebody deliberately rides it into an animal and kills it, just shows what a mess our Country really is in..

The strange thing is, these electric motorbikes seem to cost £3k up. Where are they getting the money from to get them? Drugs?

Surely parents ain't buying them for kids? Or is it just a case of bad parenting?

It puzzles me.

They've no respect for anyone or anything. Then when something bad happens it's everyone else's fault

Trashing golf clubs, bowling greens, sports facilities in general, pulling wheelies wrong side of road with no helmets on and no consideration for anyone else, now deliberately killing animals. Usually all in black with hoodies, snoods, balaclavas etc - nothing to see here honestly....

Absolute ******* the lot of them - yet as has been said above, when anything happens, they are great kids who wouldn't hurt a fly etc, so sad, didn't deserve that etc - it's total ********

It's not a generational thing. Every generation had the badly behaved, dragged up neanderthals. It's just this generation not only has that but also has access to e-bikes, e-scooters, etc. that makes them even more dangerous. We had the same issues with millenials when mopeds became readily available to 17/18 year olds.

Aye, all the 'please don't punish our little scroats because it might damage their life chances' utter tosh.

What damages them the most is feckless patenting and the namby-pamby approach from our authorities. No deterrent means they end up becoming repeat offenders who plague our communities for years. Costing an absolute fortune, not to mention the pain and mental anguish of those who suffer at their hands.

People have had enough of Lawless Britain.

Anyone any idea why they all tend to be in balaclavas pulling wheelies?

Had to report some kids recently who bricked a duck. Yes bricked. The duck was badly injured but didn’t survive. The crazy thing is the police said ring the canal trust, the canal trust said ring the rspca and the rspca couldn’t do anything.

Not sure what sort of society we are breeding. But at the risk of sounding old. I fear for the youth.

There are plenty of good kids out there. But the asbo generation coupled with social media (kids either being glued to their devices or waiting to broadcast EVERYTHING) It’s a generation I’m glad I’m not young in.

The problem is there is no consequence for anything. Even the ones that go to prison get out quickly under the guise of "overcrowding" and ultimately re-offend. Then they have kids that they fail to bring up correctly who turn into offenders.

Longer prison sentences and mandatory sterilisation is what's required.

Also a reduction in the amount of benefits that people can claim would help.

I work 40 hrs a week and couldn't afford designer gear and a electric motorbike.

Some people have very forgetful & selective memories we were no angels growing up but instead of all the e-bikes & e-scooter malarkey our mischief included shooting squirrels out of trees with air rifles & putting milk bottles on door handles & knocking & running etc... You can scold & rebuke the tearaways but also at the same time brings back some goldness from our youth & happy memories.

When I was an apprentice I was mentored by a brilliant bloke - one of the best. One time he told me that he had gone off the rails when he was around 14 years old and ended up in borstal for a short time. He said it was the making of him because he never wanted to go back. He came out and knuckled down, got on with life and made a success of it, not to mention being a very decent person who'd do anything for anyone.

There was a clown riding up Manchester Rd Hapton the other day and behind him was a little kid ( about 7 y/o both had helmets on) ) riding a mini motorbike both on the main Rd heading for the A679 !
It's time that people who know about this pass the intelligence onto the Police so they can deal with this ,nevermind all this grassing business! Before a child is seriously injured or worse .
The Police don't live in these communities,so intelligence is vital to address this issue

Of course not killing anything out of cruelty isn't an admirable trait but the point I was making is sometimes it can be part of people's childhood the mistakes you make & learn from mould people into what they are today.

I've often suggested (or growled it towards the TV News at least) that being a wrong 'un is good for your life expectancy: Whenever you listen to the interviews about some youngster who has been killed, you invariably hear what wonderful members of society they were; I've yet to hear anyone described as having been an evil, obnoxious scrote whom we're well rid of.

Even worse for police that chase them and then they come off.
If you wanna break the law and behave irresponsibly and recklessly, then the consequences are yours to bear, and yours alone. Police should be allowed to chase down and arrest those breaking the law. And before anyone starts skriking, I don’t mean chase joyriders down and knock them off… although I’m happy with chasing down those who have committed criminal acts BEFORE getting on these means of escape…

Absolutely disgusting, hope the worm responsible for this gets what he deserves.

Why can't we just leave wildlife alone, their daily struggle for survival is near impossible as it is, without some scote thinking it's a laugh to do something like this.

It's just a relentless downward spiral of modern day society.

A lot of these kids have their E-bikes financed by drug dealers who employ them as delivery drivers.

Go down any town centre during the evening and these little sh*ts are everywhere. They know that they are untouchable by the authorities. If I 'accidentally' managed to knock one off his bike I would quickly find myself in serious trouble with the Police & the legal system.

Using public transport is another major issue which has been covered in other posts on this site.

Lancashire Police are one of the largest outside London. They need a seek and destroy policy on scooters and e bikes.Patrol after 6 and target the known areas where these vermin live
It's not an unsolvable problem it just needs effort.

Seen youths on e bikes tearing up football pitches where young kids are playing. They normally have balaclavas or hoodies hiding their cowardly faces. There are some not far from us who regularly go on the roads. The police know who they are but say they can’t do anything which is pathetic.

Not all kids but I can remember SOME kids being into gap guns & black widow catapults & air rifles going into the fields/woods shooting. SOME kids weren't into that especially the girls & the boys who went to church & missed out on some of the fun. Fun not necessarily meaning killing animals.

It isn't a problem just for towns like Burnley and Padiham. I live in, supposedly, 'posh' Solihull, the met borough with the 2nd highest number of millionaires per capita in the UK (I'm not one, unfortunately). My house backs onto a park and we hear and see loads of kids on small motorbikes and e-scooters whizzing around, generally in the evening causing all sorts of damage to the grass and the bridges over the stream. It does seem to be cyclical though, there will be loads for a year or so then a lull for a year so.

Sad with the geese, there are a few families on the deer pond at Towneley at the minute.

Seen two lads bombing about Towneley on Monday night, had helmets on but they were clearly on paths/grass they shouldn't have been with thier motorcross style bikes.

There is crap all you can do when adults behave like kids.

This was the result of a disagreement between my neighbours about the use of a wheelie bin:

Society can be very complicated & I agree with your general sentiment. Top & bottom I think a lot it boils down to the parents without being 100% sure as I don't know them but something isn't clearly right.

There's no excusing the behaviour in the OP or some of what's listed in this thread, but perhaps it might be a worthwhile exercise for some of you to read back your own posts and ask why the younger generations would show respect or deference for a society that thinks of them in those terms.

Plenty of young people are great members of society. It's this type particularly that there's no place for. Layabout, scrounging druggies will be the same for the rest of their life because they've no motivation to be better people as they see their parents and their peers following the same path.

Lancashire Police are one of the largest outside London. They need a seek and destroy policy on scooters and e bikes.Patrol after 6 and target the known areas where these vermin live
It's not an unsolvable problem it just needs effort.
It’s not an unsolvable problem it just needs effort? You couldn’t be more wrong. And we don’t need a seek and destroy policy. If it’s an e-bike they get seized for no insurance and are destroyed.

Chasing a moped, e-bike, or whatever is an absolute minefield. Firstly you have to be an advanced driver with the correct qualifications, of which there are few drivers. Those able to chase mopeds/e-bikes are usually traffic officers.

You also need to be pursuit trained. And any pursuit needs to be authorised in the initial phase, and is only allowed to proceed if there are resources available to bring it to a safe conclusion. The ongoing risk assessment is incredibly stringent, and more often than not pursuits gey terminated because it puts the general public in immediate risk.

The kids riding these bikes do so with absolute abandon. I went to a collision with a scooter ridden by a 16 year old kid who ploughed into a pram on a pedestrian crossing. The baby is now paralysed down one side for life.

It’s so easy to put it down to a lack of effort by Police but the risks are ENORMOUS and quite often far outweigh the crime that the kids have committed, unfortunately.

No pursuit is worth putting lives at risk.

You speak for yourself. Shooting squirrels? Never heard of or seen it.

It's not the sort of thing that's discussed the grey squirrels are fair game & legal the red variety are the complete opposite.
