Horrendous but If he wears a polo neck and he’s a very good player it won’t matter.

Re: Summer transfer window
This lad is a great signing. Should injury not have set him back he would be playing champions league football by now.
If we pay anything under 10m for him it's a steal.

A bit of talk from Esteve about next season.
“We know the Premier League is not the same as the Championship, we know the gap. But we have a good defensive side, a good team, good togetherness. We need to keep these basics but also improve.
“I said before I think this is a Premier League club, but now the ambition is to stay in the Premier League. That’s the new objective.
“Now we go on our holidays and enjoy ourselves, because we deserve this. But now the objective is to stay in the Premier League next season.”
“I’m so happy in this club. It’s a top, top club for me and my family.

I wasn’t suggesting otherwise.
I was just wondering how you were suggesting he would be a bargain when there has been no talk of fee.

Good to get him in early to give the announcer the pre-season to practice pronouncing his name.

Re: Summer transfer window
So just over 10m pounds - given he's just returned from one serious knee injury, and had another a couple of years earlier, it'd be interesting to know how much is performance related.

Look further up the thread, lots of posters rate him highly. Whether you trust their judgement or not is another matter, of course.

Very attacking fullback by the sounds of things. Could we be preparing the go with wing backs at times this season?

I've had a look at some Youtube clips which is difficult to tell as his first touch looked questionnable but happy to wait and see.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:42 pmLook further up the thread, lots of posters rate him highly. Re: Summer transfer window
Well, he is only 4 months older than Maatsem, plays in the same position, and has more full caps despite bad injuries. His knee makes him a risk, but a risk worth taking at that price, especially as we will have multiple back ups in that position.

Might be an idea to email our coaching/recruitment staff about this, as they may have forgotten to look at these areas.

Looks a good player, can ping it, shows good anticipation, can thread a ball through and has a shot on him.
That's my expert analysis anyway.

I'm fully prepared for a Bob Lord butchering of this guy's name and how it's pronounced lolTheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:08 pmGood to get him in early to give the announcer the pre-season to practice pronouncing his name.

Re: Summer transfer window
I've got a Dutch friend who is a season ticket holder at Feyenoord so I asked what he made of Hartman and he replied "hij speelt lachend in zijn voetbalschoenen"
Which apparently roughly translates to the phrase "he plays with a chuckle in his boots".
