Architect - Recommendations
Can anyone recommend a good architect in the Burnley area? We're looking to remodel our kitchen and dining room making it into one room. Would involve installing a steel beam where a wall will have to be taken down, so will have to have a structural aspect as well.
Thanks in advance.

My brother Peter is an architect, and fellow Claret. I’m sure he would love to help. Based in Whalley and typically does jobs all over the Ribble Valley, Burnley and Pendle

Hi Stalbansclaret, thanks for this. I had seen your brothers company online, his work looks very good, but it looked like more of big projects like new builds, big conversions etc. So thought this wouldn't be big enough for him, understandably. However I will drop him an email to see.Stalbansclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 3:52 pmMy brother Peter is an architect, and fellow Claret. I’m sure he would love to help. Great. I think his work is very varied and includes lots of “domestics” (extensions etc). I reckon he’ll be happy to help .Boroclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 4:15 pmHi Stalbansclaret, thanks for this. Good builder and a kitchen designer!Boroclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 3:33 pmCan anyone recommend a good architect in the Burnley area? Re: Architect - Recommendations
Agreed. If you're not fundamentally altering the fabric of the building, you wouldn't typically need an architect.
A decent builder would take care of the steelwork (and help you to get through building control) and the kitchen designer would handle finishes.
That said: we worked with this company, for some years but they're now under new ownership. A national franchise, essentially, with domestic lighter touch services delivered by local architects.

If any of the above fall through, I would strongly recommend O'Reilly based in Torquay, he's been around since the
70's and whilst he has a lot of experience in the hotel trade I'm sure he'll assist.
