Not a “drive him there myself” comment in sight. Don’t often see that…

The last post from the Ipswich fans made me laugh. "Please take Muric with you" Hope not.

Behind a pay wall, but suggest Newcastle struggling to agree a fee for Trafford.

£25m offer apparently. Not enough.

The leader of "Dynamo" and midfielder of the national team of Ukraine Volodymyr Brazhko can continue his career in the English Premier League.
According to the source, Volodymyr was interested in the newcomer of the Premier League Burnley, who last season of the Championship reached the mark of 100 points and got into the elite. Brajka's candidacy is on the shortlist of the English club.
This season, Brazhko played 37 matches at the club level, scored five goals and gave four assists.
Last winter, Brazhko was already close to moving to the Premier League. Wolverhampton made an official offer to the Ukrainian club in the amount of 20 million euros, but was rejected.
€20m seems a lot

9 minutes of you tube watching and I approve.
- Big strong lad
- Incredible long ball passer (badly needed to play on the counter)
- Gets stuck in
- Pretty strong in the tackle from what I can see, most of the compilation is him pinging long balls all over

Not sure on the source for the link, but his profile seems pretty spot on for what we need.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Fri Jun 27, 2025 8:09 amhttps://sport.ua/uk/amp/news/772633-v-b ... -100-ochok

Not sure on the source at all tbh, I remember last summer the Amdouni to benfica initially came from an absolute nothing source and then it became mainstream media in Portugal so could be something similar

I’m always a bit dubious of passing compilations playing inch perfect passes when they had 30 seconds to pick it out. This lad seems to move the ball very quickly though.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 27, 2025 8:44 amI must have just watched the same video haha.

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Tends to be the case that often these bizarre links that appear out of nowhere have more basis than the ones in UK press with 5 or 6 clubs listed - certainly as far as Burnley is concerned.
Never heard of him but certainly looks like a good player on the old 'Tube, good profile and the right age to be expected to be starting games for us whilst also having that value upside if he proves himself. I like the look of him.

Probably nonsense as its Pete O'Rourke / Football Insider, but linked with Tomas Soucek with West Ham open to offers. Would be on a big wage you'd imagine: https://www.footballinsider247.com/excl ... rove-sale/

Soucek would be a ridiculous signing for us.
I'd be amazed to see it come to fruition though, reckon he'll be on about 80k a week minimum.

27m inc add ons? Is this a joke? All this noise and this is still a good 10m off what I’d find acceptable.

35m and you might be nearer. You have to add a premium for 1. Newcastle 2. The fact we are in the Prem. The base fee has to be £30m, Pickford went for that 10 years ago!!

There is no loyalty in football. Nick Pope gave us great service.... then he left. That's what happens.
Poor fee for Trafford, though. I'm disappointed.

Pickford went for 25m to be fair, the full fee of 30m was never realised due to Everton’s crap performance.
30m is the 7th most expensive fee for a keeper in history.
Makes the 70m Chelsea spent on Kepa seem crazy
Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
But Everton paid that in 2017. Fees have moved on since thenNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 3:54 pmPickford went for 25m to be fair, the full fee of 30m was never realised due to Everton’s crap performance.

Man Utd spent over £47m with add ons with Onana and he is a liability. The bar has been raised on price ceilings for keepers-Pickford joined Everton 8 years ago and Trafford has the same potential as Pickford when he joined Everton, if not more, and is younger than Pickford was at the time

£30m rising to £35-40m+ with add-ons and a 25% sell-on clause. Anything less keep. With a potential England starting spot in the World Cup next summer his stock could be even higher.

Be interesting to see which keeper we go for when Trafford leaves.
Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
We urgently need to do a deal really so will probably fall a bit short on what we want ideally. I'm.hoping we can get Ramsdale in as replacement

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Evidently no they haven’t
Raya to Arsenal = 27m (24-25)
Ramsdale to Arsenal = 23m (22-23)
Onana to United = 37m (23-24)
Jorgensen to Chelsea = 20m (24-25)
Mendy to Chelsea = 19.5m (20-21)
Vlachodimos to Newcastle = 19m (24-25)
Verbruggen to Brighton = 16m (23-24)
Henderson to Palace = 14m (23-24)
Bazanu to Southampton = 12m (22-23)
Martinez to Villa = 13m (20-21)
They are pretty much all of the GK transfers I could find from the last 5 years in the prem. if anything it probably shows that keepers have come down in value over the last 5 years.
I would argue there is only really Onana that has gone for crazy money.

Absolutely agree it needs to be done urgently
It’ll be impossible to find a replacement in the 8 remaining weeks of the transfer window

Because we don't have our first choice goalkeeper until he's gone most probably. The earlier we get a replacement in the earlier we can start building an understanding with the defence and rest of the squad.
We don't want to be scrambling around for a keeper in the middle of pre season if we can help it.

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
I obviously don't want Traff to go, but every player has a price, especially if that player is keen on the move.
That said 25 mill is beyond insulting. If they rate him so highly they'll happily pay 40 for him. If we were to give in it just opens the club up for every other team to think they can have our pants down as well, and that could be a catastrophe going forward.
Brighton have been so successful because they refuse to sell their star players on the cheap, we have to have the same attitude. Honestly I'd rather lose him for free in 2 years time than allow him to go for 25 mill.

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
There is a reason Burnley paid over the odds for him. For the same reason we now need to be asking "over the odds" for Trafford ourselves. It is generally felt he could well be the next Joe Hart or Jordon Pickford , who between them have earned over 150 England caps. THere is no one around of Trafford's age who remotely aspires to achieving this. For this reason we need to play hard ball with Newcastle. I am convinced if we keep Trafford that by Christmas , in the high spotlight of the PL, that we will have more than one club chasing him, and would not be surprised to see the German clubs watching him too by then

I'll say it now.
Thanks James, the highlight of your stay at Burnley was the two penalty saves at the death against Sunderland on the Turf that got us an important point against promotion rivals when we didn't deserve it
If you read this board James , why does Nick Pope call you ' shagger' ?
