Since I started the thread, I guess it's time for my annual "not been the same since Carter USM and The Levellers were headliners" post.

So, kneecap are now leading “death to the IDF” chants…
Be interesting to see if any charges are brought for the crime of inciting racial hatred. I know where my money is. Yet another example of the tolerant left enjoying a weekend away for what it is…
Revoke the glasto licence, bang Eavis up for allowing it to happen, and fine the BBC for broadcasting it.

Amyl And The Sniffers are fantastic imo, I've seen them a number of times over the years and it's fab to see them have the platform of the other stage
However it's also on a knife edge as to whether Amy's costume is going to fail completely, she's already used gaffer tape once to hold her bra in place which is now coming loose

Certainly is. Yet we see people demanding the release of one person but the prosecution of another for similar things.

Re: Glastonbury
Good point , I’d imagine the setup up for a varied vocal set /tracks would be a nightmare for consistency. As for backing tracks we can only imagine what the likes Cher (at almost 80!) and Madonna would sound like without them …dougcollins wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 5:01 pmWhilst auto tune works wondrously well with digital recordings (even I can sing) it is still far from perfect for live work, and you would know if someone used it.

Bob Vylan should be arrested for inciting murder.
Can you imagine if he’d said ‘death to *insert other particular religious group*? I reckon Glastonbury’s events licence might be revoked.

Pulp were great, a few sound issues aside. The red arrows fly-past during Common People was incredible!

I’m looking forward to Raye but the Sky listings have all frozen and have been for sometime. We’re switching the system off and re booting. Fingers crossed.

So ironic to be standing in a field in Somerset singing common people surrounded by Englands finest middle class. Oh well never mind. I’m a plumbers son from Burnley and ****’n loving my £350odds quids worth.

Re: Glastonbury
Quite enjoyed Yusuf Dawes because they play their instruments really well. Rocco Paladino is going to be as good as his father on the bass and Yusuf is a more than decent drummer.
The the rest of it is just a bit meh.....!
I think the BBC decided not to show Kneecap and Labour have argued against showing it. The flag that Kneecap are in trouble for is the Hamas flag - an organisation proscribed by the Labour British Gov't in 2001. The case is sub judice so no opinions on that
I think young people - particularly middle class young people need their little bit of rebellion before they become Chartered Accountants. Kneecap have found their niche and good luck to them.

Never mind before they become Chartered Accountants before they become miserable middle/older aged tossers who hate everything. If you find yourself getting wound up by Glastonbury you probably need to have a word with yourself.ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 8:42 pmQuite enjoyed Yusuf Dawes because they play their instruments really well.
