Good finish through a lot of bodies with a deflection as well but I think the keeper might be a bit disappointed again.

Re: ENGLAND U21s
Stansfield so slow out to his man there. So annoying when a goal is so easily avoidable.

In fairness we really should have had it won in the first half

I do think Joe Hart makes some good points but surely a co-commentator shouldn’t speak more than the main man.

Not seen much of him but that Jay Stansfield is bobbins. His fault for both their goals and why he didn’t throw himself at that chance 1st half I can’t understand

Coulde easily have gone in at HT 3 or 4 nil up instead of 2-1.

Re: ENGLAND U21s
Lucky to getaway with the draw.
McAteer has been garbage all the match.
Hutchison has gone off the longer the game has lasted.
Livramento makes some terrible decisions whether passing or getting tackled as he brings the ball out.
Not having a CF isn’t helping.

Re: ENGLAND U21s
He seems to be following the big German lad. Woltemaier.
Re: ENGLAND U21s
As good as he were at centre back last season I still think his best position in the premier league would have been sitting deep in midfieldClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 10:10 pmA position I’m sure he can play. He’s just a very good footballer.

I’m pretty sure he played there in some cup match and having a good game.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 10:10 pmA position I’m sure he can play. He’s just a very good footballer.
Didn’t realise he’d signed for Marseille. We’ve lost out on a fair fee tbh but sometimes this happens when you play your best footy in the last year of a three year deal. Good luck to him.

Carsley really did manage that to perfection, in my opinion.
Re: ENGLAND U21s
Saw the Claret too.
Is Egan-Riley still ours until end of month?
Chased everything in ET. What a way to play your first mins of the tournament! Deserves his winners medal.

Re: ENGLAND U21s
A bit of frantic defending to do at the end and them hitting the bar for a second time. But our football in the first half was sublime and we deserved that.

Re: ENGLAND U21s
CJ did well and I’m delighted for him but he does at times have the demeanour of a dog chasing a crisp packet on a windy day.
To be fair though it never did the likes of Kante any harm. Probably more suited to DCM than RCB.
As for England in general, did very well, congrats, though I felt the last champs were better, particularly in goal

CJ really is a sad loss.
Don't know (obv) what Marseilles offered him, but surely to Christ he'd have fancied at least one season in the PL rather than the second-rate backwater of French football?
Suppose money talks....

On another day, we could quite easily gone in 4, even 5-1 up.
They carved them open several times.
In the end, it turned out to be a classic England/ Germany match. Always good when we come out on top.

Great game to watch.
