To my surprise, and with apologies to the club for ever doubting them, I have had a response to my enquiry. The explanation given is as follows:

Although each Season Ticket holder could purchase 4 tickets, only one of these could be at the Season Ticket holders reduced price. If the price for all 4 tickets were at the reduced price, this would have stopped the purchase.

I may have missed this in the email and on the website but I don't recall this information being part of the message regarding the sale of tickets for the game.
It was very definitely not part of the message. They really do make it up as they go along.

Not sure just how my purchase of 4 tickets fits into this - 2 Sen (both concession) and 2 adult season ticket holders?

Absolutely.

The online system wouldn't let me do pretty much what was outlined above, with two tickets to buy apart from mine.

I rang the ticket office -they did it straight away, no problem. At no point did they say my purchase was breaking any rules.

Looking on line I can't find any concessionary ticket prices.
Is it £15 regardless of age, or am I missing something?

Once you've chosen how many tickets you want if you them allocate them to concession ST holders you should get an option of categories to chose from. But if you're buying the extra ones through your number they'll all be at £15.

This just feels like a bad idea. I will be pleasantly surprised if it goes off in a trouble free manner
