I was at the San Siro for the AC vs Lazio game in early March (which Lazio won 2-1). Tchaouna started; from my slightly hazy memory (took advantage of in-seat beers), he didn’t play as an out and out striker, but looked neat and tidy on the ball. Not a game of huge quality so probably unfair to judge on one game.

Exciting signing overall; young and looks technically good, a lot to like!

It will work its way down in numbers
I guess so. Basically a whole team to offload.

Well, I'm not sure exactly how we'll pronounce it in Burnley, but this is the song I hear when I read his name...

Takes the size of the squad to 41, if I've counted correctly.
At 21 he doesn't have to be counted in the 25 does he?

I'm not sure. I was just making the point that the size of the personnel on the books is way too high.

That video is absolutely outstanding! 👏
Perhaps I am old fashioned. But I am a. bit bored of the video reveals. The first one or two when they were new were quite good.

But I prefer the old reveals myself!

Novelty wore off some time ago for me.

Then again I don’t do twitter or the like. So perhaps I’m not the target audience.

Bah humbug.

I don't even watch them any more.

I don't learn anything about the player from them.

Ray Ingleby. Didn't he end up bankrupt? Sure he lived over Lyhtham way but had been very succesful in America before getting into difficulty?

They aren't for kids. It's all part of the clubs online and social media presence. It's relevant with drumming up interest. They aren't a bad thing at all.

Maybe 'kids' was an exaggeration. I can't stand them, though. Old Me.

The first few were unique and funny. I must admit I did enjoy them. Just feel it’s run its course and lost its novelty.

He did and that's why he had to stand down from the board. He was the major player though in getting Ian Wright to the club and I believe he did some considerably good work after the ITV Digital crash.

They're brilliant and a way of increasing our exposure when they are reshared or go viral. The world moves on from an old school photoshoot of players holding a scarf. Keep them coming.

I had a quick search of him on Company House and seems he is directing a few firms again. Good luck to him. Remember the buzz when he was rumoured to be coming on board. Seemed very ambitious.

Other teams do it to. Can any of us even remember any other teams' signing videos? Let alone them influencing us in any way?

I think it’s more to do with influencing foreign fans than British fans, Stoke fans aren’t going to go and switch allegiance or go and buy a Burnley shirt.

Young people in America might tho if they see these vids and JJ Watts commenting on them, what’s the YouTube channel that sponsor the youth team called? All these things on their own won’t do much but combined they will certainly grow our profile abroad. Gotta think of the bigger picture surely

Exactly this. They’re for the global market and need to be a bit more than a photo of a player with a scarf to attract attention. Let’s face it, when we were making signings in the Ian Wright era you just needed a pic for the Burnley Express and Evening Telegraph and that was it.

Radio Lancashire used to interview him pretty much weekly prior to games. Always appeared to speak sense.
