I bet everyone in Barley is well p off. The new shirt will attract even more people to visit Pendle. I hope so anyway.

Claret is a deep, rich red color with a hint of purple, often described as a dark, reddish-purple hue. It's inspired by the color of red wine, particularly Bordeaux wines, and is associated with luxury and elegance. The color has a more pronounced purple tinge compared to burgundy
Re: Home KIt 2025/26
Although both ‘Purple Potion’ last season’s looks darker in colour compared to the new one.

Re: Home KIt 2025/26
Personally really like it, despite not usually being a fan of round collars or claret sleeves.
Think from the stands and on TV it's going to look really classy, and giving a good throwback to the 70s ringer shirt.

Will the sponsorless version have any advertising on the back or sleeves? It's nice but still not claret.

We don’t sell the kits with sleeve sponsors and we won’t have sponsor on the back as not permitted in the Premier LeagueClaretinJapan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 02, 2025 11:36 pmWill the sponsorless version have any advertising on the back or sleeves? It's nice but still not claret.

It won’t have sponsorship on the back and I don’t think the sleeve. The player’s shirt will have a sleeve sponsor.ClaretinJapan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 02, 2025 11:36 pmWill the sponsorless version have any advertising on the back or sleeves? It's nice but still not claret.
Edit: didn’t see the post above replying with the same info.

What do neutrals from other clubs think about it? Any links to general fans ?

Re: Home KIt 2025/26
History - see above - tells you thats not always been the case for long periods of time . Early 2000 s / 1970s and 1930s .
Re: Home KIt 2025/26
Precisely. In Europe, governments have put in loads of checks and balances in an attempt to stop betting companies from ruining too many lives. (With an eye on not hitting tax take too much, of course, but that's a different story.)
In the far east, there is a lot less regulation and the betting companies can ruin lives without a care or qualm. It's anything goes and let the weak go to the wall. Hence they make bigger profits and Burnley FC can take whatever credit is due, or not as the case may be, for our contribution to the business.
Re: Home KIt 2025/26
The colour reminds me of the 06/07 shirt for some reason. Especially what it looked like on tv highlights.

For any of our fans not overly keen on the new shirt, take a look at West Ham's.

Re: Home KIt 2025/26
I had to go past the Turf this afternoon so called in the club shop to take a look at it.
To be honest I think it looks OK but I really do not like the colours at all.

There was a thread on here called Barley Is Closed. It was in reference to the locals putting up a sign to deter visitors to Pendle and surrounding area as some in the village objected to people visiting and spoiling it for them. I think that everyone has a right to visit and take in the countryside. Hence my comment about the Burnley contoured shirt.

Not a great shirt in all honesty let’s face it , but It’s colour /design etc will have very very little effect on projected and actual sales . The kids /teens /nylon shirted hordes who like wearing the club shirt will purchase it as they always have done.

Re: Home KIt 2025/26
I personally care more about how many points we can accrue next Season and don't care what shade of Claret we play in (it isn't Purple)!
Still it would'nt be a Burnley message board if there wasn't arguing, bickering and point scoring amongst supporters.
UT?

Re: Home KIt 2025/26
Comparing to the West Ham shirt, clearly a very different shade of ‘Claret’ on a similar design.
Must admit, I do prefer our effort to this. Ours is a little dull, but this is worse

Yeah that's the one, with that weird stripe design.
Always think of Wade Elliott when I see that shirt, always brings back that screamer he scored away at title chasing Sunderland.

Re: Home KIt 2025/26
We’ve had some horrible kits.
Re: Home KIt 2025/26
A lot less if you extract all the non Claret shirts, of ancient history and then do the sum.Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 10:25 pmI reckon we've had claret body with all blue sleeves for 78 seasons. That's about 55% of our 143 year existence
So for 45% of our existence we haven't had blue sleeves with a claret body
That's quite alot
Re: Home KIt 2025/26
Any news on 2nd and 3rd kits?

Not really. 70% blue and sky blue for living memory into the 50s at least.Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 6:37 pmThat'd make it nearly 30% where we didn't have them
Still quite a lot
