Re: Summer transfer window
It’s the sort of signing that may be the thing that makes the likes of Vardy, Callum Wilson, Calvert-Lewin (if interest is genuine) go “hmmm, fair enough what are they building”.

Re: Summer transfer window
One of his sons is in the junior set up at the club so he will if seen first hand the training ground. His legs won’t be under the same pressure as at city, unbelievable signing.
And there’s people who don’t think we could attract Callum Wilson or Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Burnley are closing in on the permanent signing of right-back Kyle Walker from Manchester City.
The England international, 35, is taking medical checks before completing what the newly-promoted Premier League club will regard as a significant coup.
If all goes to plan, he will put pen to paper on a proposed two-year contract — adding quality, experience and leadership to head coach Scott Parker’s side. Walker played alongside Parker during the latter’s two seasons at Tottenham Hotspur between 2011 and 2013.
The deal will be worth up to £5million ($6.8m) to City if bonuses are achieved — while as one of their longest-serving players, captain last season before a loan move to AC Milan and among the highest earners, this could also save the ten-time English champions a package in the region of £10m

Re: Summer transfer window
Am I going over the top by suggesting this is as big, or arguably bigger due to the fact he’s still performing at the highest level both domestically and internationally, as Wright and Gascoigne? Ok, yes, not as showy because he’s a right back, but it’s certainly of that stature in my eyes.

Re: Kyle walker
You never know, but this might, only might, help us persuade a higher quality striker to the club. Coaches, will have to devise some tactical plays to help compensate for Kyle's legs. Maybe a return to centre back.
Tuanzebe, Walker, Esteve, Hartman.
One thing is certain, Sheff U will be spitting feathers.

Wow, that is an incredible signing for us if we pull that off. I'll believe it when the club confirm it.

Re: Kyle walker
If it's a 2 year deal, and IF we did go back down, do you think he'd be brilliant in the Championship? As I do think the club always have that in mind. A case of, "If we go down, we'll always make sure we have a superb Championship side to get us back up"

Yes, we should have gone for 21 year old RB who plays for some Belgian club no has heard of but AI model predicts he can become decent in 7 years.

LOL, he was getting crucified on here during England’s last game.
As it happens, he was probably the best right back in world football a few years ago.

I would expect the bulk of the fee will be dependent on surviving, if so it would be very cheap.
He'll bring a wealth of experience to a side in need of it. Good luck and welcome.

I wanted us to sign him after seeing him play for Sheffield Utd against us in the Play Offs Final in 2008

He’s definitely not the player he was, but he’s still a fantastic athlete and for our ambitions (finishing 17th), he is probably the best possible right back we could possibly get. I can’t think of anyone even remotely close that we know will perform at that high of a level.

Re: Summer transfer window
It's all about staying up this season, we are far more likely to do that with players like Kyle Walker in the squad.
Played quite often in a back three for England under Southgate, so there is flexibility in what he offers us.
