Anyone think we are interested in Amir Richardson from Florentina
(Looks to be available around 8m)

Massengo in talks with Ausburg. Hopefully we get some more central midfield links soon.
Re: Summer transfer window
They have said he isn't for sale and have slapped a 35m fee on him. I think the offers have been around the 15m mark.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:43 amOne of the names from my list of potential signings to look at Gela Doue is under offer from AC Milan according to Romano.

Re: Summer transfer window
My opinion was that the defence trusted him more (then probably not now) we played out better and more calmly (in general) and he made some excellent saves in games against Wolves, Brentford among others where we picked up points.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 12:10 amOnly recently I read on here someone giving Esteve credit for Burnley picking up more points in the latter stages of the season after signing in January.
Like you say it’s a team game, and having watched our matches I don’t believe the introduction of Muric led to the team picking up points at a higher rate than we did before his selection.
And notwithstanding all of this, we have all seen him be an absolute calamity for both Burnley and Ipswich in the Premier League so I find it a complete head scratcher that anyone would want us to re-sign him.
I wasnt the only one. Final Player ratings for that season.
7.15 - Arijanet Muric
6.49 - Sander Berge
6.32 - Luca Koleosho
6.30 - Jordan Beyer
6.25 - Maxime Estève
6.24 - Josh Cullen
6.19 - Charlie Taylor
6.10 - Dara O'Shea
6.00 - Lyle Foster
5.95 - Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson
5.93 - James Trafford
5.88 - Lorenz Assignon
5.83 - Josh Brownhill
5.81 - Jacob Bruun Larsen
5.74 - Wilson Odobert
5.71 - Vitinho
5.58 - Connor Roberts
5.56 - Ameen Al-Dakhil
5.55 - Jay Rodriguez
5.53 - Hannes Delcroix
5.45 - David Datro Fofana
5.31 - Zeki Amdouni
5.04 - Aaron Ramsey
Results with him in:
Brentford won (he played very well)
Chelsea away - drew
Wolves drew - (he played well - should have won)
Everton away - lost by a goal from his mistake (should have drawn)
Brighton - drew with a goal from his mistake (should have won)
Sheff Utd away - won
Man Utd away - drew
Then lost our last three vs Newcastle, Spurs (away), Forest. Think I recall he also played very well away at spurs in the cup.
So we picked up 10 points in 10 games with him in goal. With that average we would have stayed up by at least 6 or 7 points.
Conversely we picked up 14 points in 28 games with Trafford in goal.
Its been done to death. And there are nuances and other factors in play. But the facts are we got much better results with him in goal (against some good sides too).
The problem is (was always the case - see Blackpool at home) his errors are usually high profile, almost always down to how he plays / is asked to play! But he is a good keeper.
Trafford was on a hiding to nothing from early on. And he almost gave a 'Muric Everton' goal away against luton early in the season.

There were a number of Ipswich fans on their forum defending him, but as the weeks went on they dwindled, and at the point they hoiked him out there was unanimous relief. Practically begging McKenna to play their 3rd choice keeper.Row x wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 7:58 amThe one stat people are leaving out, is that when Ipswich dropped him, he had the most mistakes, leading directly to a goal, than any other player in the premier league. Taking into account the similar mistakes he made for us, why would anyone in their right mind want him anywhere near our team this season?
Re: Summer transfer window
I think so. Is it really that unrealistic? He's 21, been out for 18 months with a serious injury, he's got Nunes, Doku, Foden, Silva, Cherki, Savinho, Grealish, Marmoush all capable of playing where he wants to then realistically he's probably seen McAtee, Echeverri leapfrog him in terms of youth prospects that are in and around it. Appreciate there may will be some outgoings but it's City so there'll be incomings as well. He needs minutes that he's not going to get.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 12:18 pmOscar Bobb would be about as exciting as you could get, I think he’s a player destined to go right to the top

Benfica want £25m for him it says, with Napoli in the driving seat. A nice link in terms of profile, but seems a touch speculative from our side (financially and other clubs interested).

I have never understood why people get so wound up about people giving out titbits that they have been told. The same is happening at the minute with people claiming that they had been TOLD that Brownhill had signed a contract, can’t remember if you were 1. If it doesn’t happen then so what? It doesn’t you were wrong when you said it it just means something changed or maybe it was in good faith but incorrect. Keep on passing on what you hear ignore the idiots that respond as if you are deliberately lieing for clicks or whatever.BigGaz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 12:16 pmAnd yet the 'bullshit' that I've posted is sometimes right on the nose.

Let’s be honest about it, we all enjoy seeing the rumoured links because some excite us . Oscar Bobb definitely does, now it may or may not materialise but if we have indeed enquired about him then brilliant, and as you’ve alluded to it does open up discussion and allow folk to dream a little as to what could be built.
Those who don’t like it or are jealous for some strange reason, just read another thread and move on with your day.
On a side note I’ve just seen that Everton are looking to take McAtee from city , who they value at £15m

I’d be amazed if we pulled this off however I don’t think the money would be an issue with this as if we went down we would just recoup immediately like with Sander Berge.

Re: Summer transfer window
It feels like that DCM position is this season’s “Kompany winger” where he spends all summer aiming big at players like Bakayoko and Lukebakio then ends up with some 18 year olds (albeit Odobert has blossomed).
Feels like that and a striker are the two to get over the line with big talents before we start to make season predictions.

Re: Summer transfer window
See if there is a deal to be done with Benfica that includes Zeki Amdouni going the other way. Like you said don't rule anything out after Kyle Walker signing.
Re: Summer transfer window
Forget the two howlers, I have never seen a goalkeeper so willingly give the ball away on the edge of his own box. That will never ever work in the PL. Spurs away in the Cup he kept rolling the ball out to their strikersbumba wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 9:46 amI'm not defending him I've said he made two costly errors which everyone remembers but his shot stopping when he came back in to the team was brilliant.
Name me one player that season that didn't have a bad game in fact name me a player that didn't have at least five bad games!
I've said in what I wrote we needed an upgrade, Trafford wasn't the man though. Neither keeper were good enough that season but of the two Muric was better I wouldn't have him back though and this season coming I'd rather we cashed in on Trafford and replaced him with someone with more experience as I'm still not 100% convinced he's what we need this year despite his improvements last season.

As much as I agree with your take on muric in the league game away at spurs. It’s extremely harsh to say he should of said the Porro goal in the cupKRBFC wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 2:59 pmForget the two howlers, I have never seen a goalkeeper so willingly give the ball away on the edge of his own box. The Spurs away league game was even worse, he was going for the record number of times giving the ball away whilst we were 1-0 up and needed to win.

Re: Summer transfer window
For excellent play by Porro, we've hung out both Amdouni and Muric.
Muric has the ball and can see Amdouni in space. Unfortunately, Porro a few yards behind Amdouni, sees that Muric is shaping to make the pass.
Porro hangs back until Muric makes the pass, knowing that if he makes his move too soon, Muric might cancel that option.
Pass made, Porro makes contact with the back of Amdoni, ball runs loose, Porro gets there first, and hits a worldie into the top corner. Porro has history for top corner shots, and history against us.
Sometimes you just have to credit the opposition.

Re: Summer transfer window
Muric was a clown and, at risk of daring to be on topic, it was some feat of transfer business to get what we did for him. He benefitted massively from not being Trafford, in that way that so many Burnley fringe players suddenly improve when they aren't in the XIDarnhill Claret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 4:08 pmFor excellent play by Porro, we've hung out both Amdouni and Muric.

Do not shoot the messenger to be close enough at the club these days this link from someone who is involved in the game who I know. One minute have enough confidence to say it is true or otherwise he informs me that he has heard strong suggestions, we are in for Raheem Sterling.
As I say no idea how accurate this is. But I know Chelsea want to offload players. He’s not in their plans. And we are looking at him as an alternative apparently to Chamberlain and similar profiles alongside 3 more younger players.
