No doubt that won't stop others persisting though unfortunately. It's 1 of them I can argue the case which I have done repeatedly but then I'll get accused of derailing threads & being argumentative even though I'm polite & don't resort to personal abuse. If ever something was futile this is the best casebook example. Have a good day.

I was only posing the question as you appeared to have the wrong end of the stick.
Do enlighten me if I’m wrong please.

The thing is where you have a regular debate with a n other it might be better either just to not get drawn in or do it via Private Message. It just comes across as point scoring and is of absolutely no interest to the vast majority.

I'll never understand why people need to get involved in other people's business when it doesn't concern them. With 123 we had only exchanged something like a couple of messages & nothing malicious at all. I think some people are just plain bored me to an extent for even discussing this nonsense.Guller Bull wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 10:41 amThe thing is where you have a regular debate with a n other it might be better either just to not get drawn in or do it via Private Message. What is so desperate? we definitely need another option in there alongside Cullen but if we went innitially with what we have in there it wouldn’t concern me at all.burnley007 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 8:40 amIt's gone strangely quiet on transfers. I wonder if we are waiting for clubs/players to make a decision?
We desperately need midfielders...DESPERATELY!!
On transfers in general not sure if you saw but we have something like the 4th largest squad in world Football, I suspect if there is a delay in incomings it is because we are prioritising outgoings currently. Unless there is something specific that just can’t be ignored I would suggest we need to move out 5-10 players before we sign anyone else.

Cullen, Ramsey, Hannibal, Laurent and numerous attacking mf/no. 10’s plus youngsters plus numerous defenders capable of a job at dm.burnley007 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 11:34 amCullen and Laurent. In the Premier League? You wouldn't be concerned???!! Wow.
Many of the linked players are midfielders though so we’re obviously looking to strengthen.

Interesting. It's been a bit quiet on the rumours front, so we might be in for another surprise a la Walker.

It’s how it used to be and both Tuanzebe & Walker were close to that this year. Social media has virtually ended that now.claretlegend wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 12:22 pmI much prefer this when we don't really know who's coming in. I like the surprise.

Re: Summer transfer window
The American chap on Twitter who mentioned Sargent had already been to meet with Burnley a few days ago (and he apparently has a good track record with US Mens players) reckoned we just had to agree a fee with Norwich and that was done.
He's my guess, on that basis.
