Unless we benefit from young stars from Espanyol coming to us I can't see how it benefits Burnley FC.A bit like our Dundee tie up imo
I would prefer Alan Pace keeps his focus firmly on us and building a team to compete in the Premier league.

I can't see that happening now. I can see him passing a lot of his attention on to somebody else to look after us, while he concentrates on Espanyol.

From watching both MTB series, I can’t see any way that Alan Pace passes any control to anyone, would take a massive amount of letting go

Plus him and his family have settled round the area now, his daughter has even married a local.

Norwich signed Kvistgaarden (somebody we should have looked at), but i still think Salech at Cardiff would be worth a look, 8 goals in 20 is still pretty good in a relegated team. Then if we have the money (which i doubt) go for a bigger name.
Salech is one I would definitely look at

Pace’s organisation is trying to buy a Belgian club and would like to get hold of Dundee apparently
As the Prem league has a lot of money but Europe champions league has more which club will they want as top dog, us or Espanyol?

Burnley or Wolfsburg.
I've not checked on a map, but I'm fairly sure that Burnley's not in Germany

I wonder if we are thinking of giving Redmond another chance? he's in Portugal with the squad.

Redmond is a good player and young enough. And experience at the top level. As an option not a disaster. Seems he was well regarded too. But like an Aaron Lennon MK2. But I wouldnt think he would be first choice if we do resign him.

I sincerely hope we are not resigning Redmond. Let him train as a favour but that's it.I never understood the signing and the wages it cost in his non availability the first time round

It's probably more just allowing him to train with the squad and get his fitness whilst he finds a club. Be surprised if we signed him.

I'm loving the optimism that a side that have been outside of the top flight of Spain twice in 26 years, and have absolutely no reason not to be thinking about breaking into the top half are going to be delighted and so grateful to a championship side if we can send them our 3rd or 4th choice right back, some youth prospects, lads that haven't kicked a ball in nearly two years and they're going to slide straight into the first team and do well cause it's not as physical

Understand what you are saying but a team staying in La liga for a long isn’t a judgment as to whether our squad players are good enough for them.

How many of Espanyols players last season would get into our best 11 from last season?

They should be thankful that we have chosen them as one of our "feeder" clubs

Or so say some of our "knowledgeable" fans

According to Transfrmarkt Espanyol have a squad value of about €65m, about a quarter of our value, and they have only 2 players valued over €6m now they have sold their best player, the keeper, to Barca.

They would love many of our squad, no doubt. La Liga or not, we have the better team. By far.

Apparently it’s a bit of a coincidence as he was out at the same place getting fit for whoever takes him. No harm in him training with us but doubt it’d go further with us.

For all those slagging off our players football is horses for courses. Players that can’t hack it in one league can be stars in a similar level league abroad and vice versa. Look at Jadon Sancho, superstar at Dortmund comes back to ManU & Chelsea straight on the bench.
Our third choice RB is a starter for Peru.

Longstaff is signing for LUFC, I know some here wanted him.

Being reported some PL clubs are interested Nico O'Riley from City, we might be one of them: https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1945214257273929843

The idea that we will be able to loan Espanyol players can’t add up to much
How many loans are we allowed in our 25 squad in this league is it 2 or can we only loan two players from one club?

Only 2 loans allowed from premier league clubs but not the same club, not sure overall number of loans allowed club can have.

Last time we were in the prem we had Assignon, Esteve, Bruun-Larsen, Tresor and Fofana

Leeds closing in on Stach and Longstaff, two good signings in central midfield.
Sunderland chasing Xhaka, another good central midfield signing.

We desperately need one or two central midfielders to compete at this level.
