You may be right but who would play if the new No1 was injured, whoever it is must be considered good enough, Would that be Weiss or one of the other 2?

Without knowing how good Weiß is it's a tough one. If the club think he's at the level then go for it, keepers don't improve sitting on the bench. If they think he's a project who needs some time then best to look at a short term, experienced option to develop him alongside - Johnstone and Ortega seem the obvious options. If Weiß is seen as nothing more than a long term backup keeper then you push the boat out a bit to get a younger, quality option such as Lammens or possibly Cooper.

We saw what happened with Trafford when he probably needed that season in the championship to grow a bit more organically. He wasn't helped by the fact we exposed him tactically, but it was a big ask. Arguably it's an even bigger ask of Weiss to do the same, I very much doubt Parker would want to throw him in, it's an unbelievably important position.

If we have great confidence in his ability to grow, much better to have some experience in there for a year or two and let him earn his spot. Who that experienced keeper is though, no idea. But I think Parker will go for that approach.

Probably very unlikely given the current Scenario but what about Dubravka?

I would personally be interested in Bayindir from
United. Sounds like they are after a first choice keeper which would push him even further down the ranks.

Will probably get shot down for this suggestion but we could do a lot worse than signing Mat Ryan who’s currently available on a free transfer. I’ve always rated him highly. Certainly a cut above the options we have at the club.

However, this is more likely me in fantasy land and not sure what wages he will be on (but imagine they'll be high and more than we can afford.....but you never know), but just thought I'd throw Ter Stegen from Barcelona in to the ring. 33 yr old and they're looking to offload him this summer. However, just been reading that he's seemingly booked himself in for back surgery (or it may be the amount of time he's announced he'll be out for, depending on which report you read) which seems to have angered Barcelona.

Not a single mention of Václav Hladký who has been picked for the team at Huddersfield.

Maybe we have decided that between Hladký, Green, Weiss and Casper we have enough depth on the GK front. I know nothing about how the manager sees their ability so I guess we'll have to wait for a 'signing announcement' to find out how much is press/agent talk or not.

I haven't seen a game where he hasn't made a big mistake, not always punished,, but would be this year
