Astonishing lead at the top of the table for Lowerhouse. I know there are still seven games to play but that's going to take some catching now. Meanwhile Burnley finding some form to climb away from those relegation places.

The bonus points we've accrued are really something. Rarely have not bowled a team out.

Re: T20 finals day / Lancashire League Weekend Thread
The Lowerhouse bowling attack this season has been extraordinary. The variety we have and the amount of players that can bowl competently is remarkable.
Take yesterday for instance. Tom Walker and Paddy Martin were (as is often the case) our opening two bowlers. The Middleton openers were hammering them around the ground They reached 61/0 in no time. Jo Hawke came on with Toxy at the other end and in no time they were 64/4 and added to that their run rate was quickly reduced from 5 to 3.5. Brief resistance in the middle order and another bowling change bringing Tom back on ended them.
Another interesting insight. Lowerhouse have the lowest number of 50s as a team this season (so i was told). Our batting isn't as prolific as it has been in recent seasons and I say that only a few weeks after a record breaking game against Norden. Ben and Jonny getting the lions share of the runs. The pro has struggled for runs this season. Fortunately we bat all the way down and all tend to chip in.
Ben was in one of those moods yesterday. No prisoners to some pretty woeful Middleton bowling and some confidence boosting runs for young Henri.
Think we'd need to lose 4 of the last 7 from here. We've had poor ends to seasons before. Two years ago we fell away. So no chickens being counted yet from me.

I've just done the digging on your 50s stat, and you are right. See attached.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 1:49 pmThe Lowerhouse bowling attack this season has been extraordinary. The variety we have and the amount of players that can bowl competently is remarkable.
