Went on just before 10am and it couldn’t/wouldn’t give me two seats together. Eventually managed to buy two separately bit reasonably close. Just keep trying if it tells you there are none available.
Thats what i was doing until they opened 117 and i went with the auto selection.

I used to have that trouble if buying anything apart from adult tickets. Had to ring up a few times

Just spoken to ticket office, apparently one of the delays viewing then purchasing tickets is the number of people who have tickets in the basket but haven’t yet completed the transaction.

If people are having the same issue as Tony, then the system needs looking at urgently.

They had only opened 118 and 119 which went before 10am. They then only opened 117 so are doing a block at a time which is silly IMO as there is a lag between a block selling out and another opening.
If 2 blocks sold out before 10 it shows they must have sold a lot of memberships and there is no percentage cap on how many members can get any more.
I still think they took the smaller allocation on purpose to sell more memberships.

As far as I'm aware block 119 isnt in the away section??

There were still seats available in blocks 117 & 118 after 10am.

I sat rebooting the screen from about 9.30 and got in at 9.55 with no problem buying tickets (i.e. the system worked fine).

However, this “membership” tier is a joke. The fact that fans who’ve clearly spent years building up points travelling away to follow the team can be leapfrogged shows exactly what these clown Americans think of us.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but bought mine directly from the ticket office and they confirmed that each ticket will be sent to the individual email of the Clarets number used rather than all of them to the purchaser’s email.

I don't think it's years and years anymore

About 5 would do it if also a season ticket holder

As I said above, to sell more memberships. Since a lot had gone even before 10am it obviously has worked for them.

How much is a membership fee? Do you pay for a ST on top of that?

Another car crash decision by the club to take the lower allocation. Just waiting for season tickets to be sent to my old address again to top it off.

£150 and you don’t need to be a season ticket holder. Just need to have the cash.

How many members do we currently have?

The benefits of being a ST holder aren't what they used to be.

Taking the lower allocation coming back to bite us is it? Didn’t see that coming  …Who’d they take their advice of the FAB?

Joke of a system getting tickets this morning, never had any issues before but making everyone jump through hoops now… stopping orders on the check-out page because dates of births weren’t up-to-date or missing from accounts? Had to go down the ticket office in the end to it sort out

First time in a long time that I haven’t been able to get a ticket.

Absolutely ludicrous decision with the allocation. First game after the summer break, parents/kids off school, first game back in the top division and Saturday 3pm.

Beyond ridiculous given the potential extra cost in the worst case/highly unlikely scenario

I imagine a fairly high proportion of “members” will live within fairly easy travel-distance to London - I.e. don’t want a season ticket but want to be able to get to a fair few away games, which makes the decision not to take a full allocation for this game all the more ludicrous.

Well, that's annoying. I've got the 'Extra Member' thingyo in the hope of being able to get to a few away games (particularly in London which is much easier for me to get to than Turf Moor). Unless we start taking our full 10% (or whatever it is we can take) I doubt I'll get any tickets and I suspect there will be a lot of disgruntled people who are in the same position as me.

A bit fed up with this, tbh.

It's 10% if a ground capacity is less than 30,000, otherwise the max is 3,000. (which we could have taken for Spurs!)

How many people have more than 2000 points? If it's more than the 3000, then the decision to accept the lower allocation is even more bonkers.

More fine work from the club. Don't suppose there's any chance of anyone holding their hands up or being held accountable either. Just glad i didn't end up booking train tickets.

The number with 2,000 or more will have gone up considerably this year - using mine as any example, I picked up 890 points during last season yet lost just 480. Next year there will be none to take off.

This is one of the reasons I got involved with the ISA. And hopefully the club will engage with us and listen to us.

The number of people who have joined has been beyond expectation and the more that do, the stronger the ISA will become.

I’m happy to plug it too. Please consider joining. It’s only a fiver until the end of July next year.

I enjoyed the podcast on the ISA but the main question for me which wasn’t asked (surprisingly) was what discussion / engagement has there been with the club? Has there been any indication they want to engage?

Definetely an issue that needs raising with the club. Whoever has made this decision obviously isn`t a football fan or understands how fans think.

Thanks - it's just prompted me to join. Hopefully the ISA can make a difference on influencing the ticketing arrangements - it's been appalling for far too long.

Definetely an issue that needs raising with the club. Whoever has made this decision obviously isn`t a football fan or understands how fans think.
People are sacked for less.

Have to say, I’m quite shocked at the take up. I thought 2,100 would be enough in the height of summer, so how wrong was I!

Is there any prospect whatsoever of applying for the extra 900 or has that ship sailed?
