Arsenal away a few years ago our end was half full of tourists. Ruined the atmosphere completely. I'm already missing the Championship away days lol.NottsClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 3:33 pmYou’d expect Burnley away tickets to be a top target for touts for tourism. Sign up to our membership scheme, jump the queue, all tickets £30 of course and then resell for £150. Miles easier to get ours than pretty much anyone else’s and a Chinese fella on holiday doesn’t care which ‘end’ he’s in. He’s there for Spurs or Liverpool or whoever.
There’s going to be loads of tourists at every big club away end we go to this season.

My question was would you risk buying travel for this game if you couldn't buy match tickets on day one
I fully understand booking early if you're guaranteed match tickets

2000 points does not guarantee tickets from day one as members and hospitality ticket holders have been able to buy them since Friday.
Also I think everyone expected the club to take the full 3,000. If they did there would still be 860 ish tickets available instead of 40 which will all go in the next few hours.
It is obvious the club have done this on purpose to shift more memberships. The club doesn’t care who buys the tickets as ling as they maximise their profit. Pace is a business man at the end if the day, just like all prem club owners he doesn’t care about us or the club one bit.

Has there been a game recently where people with 2000pts couldn't buy a ticket on day one, as you suggest?RickyBobby wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 4:01 pm2000 points does not guarantee tickets from day one as members and hospitality ticket holders have been able to buy them since Friday.

It may well be, but the point was if you had 2000pts, and you wanted a ticket today, you'd have got onefidelcastro wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 4:13 pmWe haven't been in the PL recently.

It's an own goal from the club.

Not necessarily. People at work may not even realise they are nearly sold out already.

Never mind the club will be along later on social media platforms to explain why they took the smaller allocation
Or not

Really easy situation to solve: names on tickets to show it's you who's paid for the ticket and show ID at the turnstiles to a steward. You can buy the tickets on behalf of others who have the points - easy to check through the computer systems - and on arrival at the turnstiles show some form of ID to show it's you & your ticket.

As long as people without enough points, can use other people clarets number, there will be a problem for those with the correct number of points missing out.dvalley69 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 4:23 pmReally easy situation to solve: names on tickets to show it's you who's paid for the ticket and show ID at the turnstiles to a steward. The home club don't care who is going in as long as they've paid, so they're not going to pay for stewards to check
Our club allow it to happen, so they're not going to provide anyone to check who's attending
Not easy to stop

A good idea in principle, but if every fan’s ID was checked on entry, you’d have to arrive at the ground by 12.30 to get in by kick-off.dvalley69 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 4:23 pmReally easy situation to solve: names on tickets to show it's you who's paid for the ticket and show ID at the turnstiles to a steward. Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
It isn’t like they sold out at 10.05 - you can still get them….
Stop moaning like the idiot on x saying it’s premium members selling tickets on resale sites. The blocks for sale with one exception only went on sale today. Just as likely to be STH.
Maybe tresor won’t be replaced by another player this season, its premium members who are in for it…

Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
Not correct, after tickets sold to Premier members and hospitality ST holders, there are far more people with 2000 points than the number of remaining tickets.
Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
Not really. It happens across Europe and we're only talking away fans. There is more than 1 turnstile usually at grounds so a steady flow across a few turnstiles and people wouldn't be waiting that long.lakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 4:46 pmA good idea in principle, but if every fan’s ID was checked on entry, you’d have to arrive at the ground by 12.30 to get in by kick-off.

Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
I'd say it's even easier then. Just stop people using other fans' clarets number. Everyone must have a profile on the ticketing site with their points accumulated and you can only buy a ticket through your profile. If 4 tickets can be bought by one person - coz maybe someone is working - then that designated person can only add accounts associated with the required number of points. Names on tickets & check on arrival. It happens across Europe. In this day & age with computer programming it can't be that hard to set up a fair system. But as you say if the club aren't bothered and just happy to sell tickets then it'll never change.Row x wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 4:40 pmAs long as people without enough points, can use other people clarets number, there will be a problem for those with the correct number of points missing out.

The stewards would be employed by the home club, obviously.
Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
Obviously there are people with 2000+ who don't want a ticket
Anyone who wanted one would have got one.
Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
Just checked, tickets still available on website
I used to have that problem with work, I used to get a friend to get me one. All problems are solvable

Just booked the train, £121 from Leeds for 2 adults and 3 children, so you can still get cheapish train tickets even now.

I live in Leeds, just looked and its £16 for an adult return.

Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
Can anyone confirm some tickets are still available? Got train and hotel booked for 3 of us but have to wait until tomorrow as we are all between 100 and 150 points short of the 2000.

Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
I am in exactly the same boat but we are between 20 and 70 points short. Zero chance now. Even if they are a few left in the morning the chance of getting their first is close to zero. Already resigned to taking a hit on the hotel and train fare. Missed out due to clubs greed/incompetence. Another 900 of us should be going, but we aren’t.
I hope the south Koreans who got their tickets on Friday enjoy the game!
Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
Thanks Taio. Hopefully we get lucky!
Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
It is from Wakefield not Leeds but was £121

'I know you were talking in the general Row, I just feel first game of the season, after 100 points season, new signings, Saturday 3pm, new (ish) stadium, it was a slam dunk, and worth the 'gamble'.'
No prizes, as was bloody obviously, but I was correct Row.
Whoever makes the decision at the club has no clue on these things, clearly. And I am not a BFC basher, quite the opposite. Makes us look unnecessarily tinpot, and 3k makes a difference to the team, as opposed to 2k.
