I thought something tragic had happened then. 9 year old me wouldn’t have been able to cope!

The pass from Cook at that indirect free kick in the box was class.

My second team. They are punching well above their weight, as I am led to believe, that they are the only semi professional outfit in the national league. I manage to watch most games now on DAZN. I moved from Ruislip to Wimborne 3 years ago. The Wealdstone raider made a rubbish record about 10 years ago. I only got to see Glen play for them a few times. You could still see the quality that he possessed.

What a player he was for us

He had no idea what he was going to do with the ball himself half the time so there was no chance the opposing players knew who to stop him

Had Friday night games of pool against him whilst he stayed at the Kirby as well and was great laugh

I never realised until watching that clip that SGL was two footed. Screamers with both his right and left foot. Would love to have him in his prime now 😁

Those first few seasons back in the Champ under Stan (00/01 & 01/02) were so good to watch; Glen played a massive part in those highly entertaining seasons.

LOL that's true. Very tall for a winger at the time, ungainly, looked to have no pace and yet he would just a find another gear and drift past his man.

You always felt something might happen with Glen. Loved him.
