I can't see how they could do that without some considerable work. They've certainly said nothing about that either.

This hasn’t been mentioned anywhere, so don’t think it’s part of this phase of works.

But I think they’ll want to make the CFS two-tier if ever they replace it, for this reason. I think they’d make loads of money from away fans in the Premier League by selling them ‘corporate’ tickets.

I have several mates who have been long standing ST holders at big Premier League clubs who can’t get a sniff of away tickets because priority is given to those who go away regularly, which means the same 3k get each game. Pretty sure they’d shift a full lounge and lower tier blocks with the official allocation above at £100-£150 a ticket.

Wouldn't that be like adding a penthouse suite to Trafalgar flats? Seems unlikely.

Nothing about private boxes from what I've heard. Unless it's in the corner between CFS and Longside but I haven't heard anything about that. But as 775 claret says, new bar/lounge area in between the BL and CFS I think with some access to fans in those stands (certainly the CFS) as thats where CFS home fans will enter. But no plans to do anything to the CFS itself.

Just nipped down. Queue 3/4 length of the longside. Many people buying multiple seats. I decided I wasn't 'that' bothered enough to Queue for over an hour..

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance both the matchday atmosphere and fan experience at Turf Moor, and following consultation with the Fan Advisory Board, a number of carefully considered changes will be made ahead of our return to the Premier League this season.

Designed to create a vibrant, fan-first space that enhances the atmosphere, improves flow, and brings supporters even closer to the action than ever before, the following changes will be rolled out ahead of the first home game of this season, 23rd August:

An all-new team arrival route down Harry Potts Way, entering the North-East car park and heading to the new players' arrivals area in the North-East corner, creating a headline matchday event and building stronger links between fans and players.
Relocation of the tunnel area (from North-West corner to South-West corner), enhancing the players’ matchday walk-out experience.
Creating a more impactful walk-out experience and building stronger links between the fans and players by switching the home and away supporters' areas in the Barnfield Stand.
Changing the matchday flow for away fans, including moving their turnstiles to the North-West corner.

Over the coming months, additional enhancements will be completed, creating significantly improved facilities to evolve the overall matchday experience for fans visiting Turf Moor.

The changes will bring greater value for our fans and create stronger links between Clarets supporters and players, with the aim of creating continued uplift to the matchday experience, in-stadium atmosphere and on-pitch performance.

How these changes will affect your season ticket

To facilitate switching the home and away supporters’ areas, your season ticket will move to the other side of the Barnfield Stand ahead of next season. Please see your new seat details below:

Legs are shared between seats though right? So they will run out of legs before seats. But, another reason for a silly pop at the club.

I wouldn't say so, if you are going to get fans to give up part of their day, at least don't waste their time.

The 'legs shared between seats' scenario didn't happen this morning, the club should have thought it might be an issue when announcing the process.

They aren't doing this for the fans, it's cheaper than having to dispose of them.

New block plan for the CFS. I have been allocated my new seats and I am in Block 11, but I suspect row O is the second row back on that block which is disappointing for me as I enjoyed the empty gangway in my old seat in block 13. It is important to be able to be able stretch out my legs when sat down which may not be possible now.

I also suspect I have a massive pillar in the way of my view. I still maintain that all of this should have been consulted with the fans in the stand before any decisions were made.

Just received my email from the club regarding my season ticket.
Three of us have had seats together since we were allowed in the stand, we’ve received our new seat details but we’re now separated by the aisle between block 17 and 18.
A tad frustrating, didn’t read any details regarding any way to complain or move seats.

Has anyone else read anything?

We got three seats with four 'legs' (or frames? The iron pieces), which is correct if you think of how a row of three seats looks. My Dad went down just before 1 and got served straight away but as said above, perhaps they've run out of the legs fairly quickly because obviously you need more of them than seats. Apparently quite a few of the frames looked cracked too, perhaps some of the metal was too rusted when they were taking them apart.

Sort of. Block 22 to block 18. One row back according to the ticket, though someone on this thread indicated it could actually be the same row. Looking at the website AViewFromMySeat it looks like a similar view.

I can't check where I actually am placed in the block unless someone knows how, i.e. middle, aisle, etc and how that compares to my previous seat.

Just sent an email to the club as I too have been moved from the front row of the block.

"Dear whoever thought this would 'enhance' my matchday experience,

So not only is my view less enhanced than it was because I now am in line with the edge of the Bob Lord stand instead of just inside the touchline, I am now having to stand behind someone else as my seat is no longer on the front row of the block!

To fully express my happiness, or lack of it, at the lack of proper communication and consultation by the club to me (the customer), I shall forgo my annual £150+ spending on club merchandise for myself and my grandchildren for the foreseeable future.

My point to all of this, is that this could have been foreseen and and sorted with very little thought required.

I would hope the FAB and various groups representing fans would suggest a date, before the season starts, for those affected to visit the CFS to see their new seat and how it relates to the people they have been seated with for the past 10 years.

I have spoken to a family of three, where all three new seats are in different rows. I suspect as someone who sits on my own in theory, solo switches might have been made to different areas to accommodate group/family switches.

Giving away multiples of old wooden seats that are less than a full row will always mean lots more legs needed than seats. Ie two people get 3 seats each. Each person gets four legs. That’s one more leg than the original 6 seats had (7 legs). They were bound to run out of legs.

Put a motor and some handle bars on those and you could drive them round ASDA.
