Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
Here's some Chelsea fans opinions I've just copied and pasted from reddit:
- I really liked him, genuinely thought he had a future with us. Bit gutted he’s going tbf but he would get next to no game time.
- Burnley, you have yourself a superstar
- Banger signing, feels like he was undervalued within the club. I'd rather sign Ugochukwu than Dewsbury-Hall for a team battling relegation.
- Good luck Les. I think there is a player in there.
- Amazing signing for Burnley. He's really talented. Could easily start for a top 10 PL club.
- Brilliant signing from Burnley, really think Ugochukwu has the potential to become a big player one day. Would hope for a buyback/sell-on here.
- He can definitely do well there Instead of being asked to play like xavi by that fool at Southampton last year, Parker will just use him as a solid midfielder
- Huge signing for Burnley. He would start for Man United.
The only Southampton comment I saw described him as "a light in the darkness last season".
Given what Chelsea paid and what we'd be capable of paying, I'm assuming they're using us to develop him by letting us buy him on the cheap and have a massive sell on fee or favourable buy back clause because no chance we'd pay that, surely?

We clearly hsve a good relstionship with Chelsea since the Maatsen signing, both signings this season out of the blue until Ornstein. The new lad should help Loum Tchaouna settle too and help him with his English

One to cross off the possible attacking midfield loan moves mentioned previously as Dewsbury Hall joins Everton, £25m.

Now we look to be getting somewhere. Looks exactly what we need alongside Cullen. Big, strong, quick enough and gets stuck in. Bring it on.JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 3:25 pmThis may have already been posted somewhere

Surely, somebody far more talented than me will have linked it to Alvin Stardust? Perhaps even in a Steve way for Esteve.
Assume we're just awaiting the PR faculty if DO has announced it.

If we end up with Broja, Les, Mount and an experienced PL goalkeeper before the window closes I'll be keeping next summer free for Europa league qualification!! (We won't though will we!!)

Show case reels are just what they are but I am loving this boy. Look at some of them tackles.Kind of player that you feel you are going to get injured when you tackle him! (don't mean that in a vicious way - just all action) Just what we have been missing. That is a key signing!
Imagine him alongside Cullen and Mejbri. If he can settle in quickly then this gives us a chance.

He's obviously a big strong lad, protects the ball ok. A good range of passing, but the thing that stood out for me was 90% of his tackles he ended up on the deck. That's a bad trait in any league, but definitely in the Prem. You can't race back in defence if you're sat on your arse.
I might be making something of nothing, but it's not something I like in a CM.

The idea is you win the ball, falling over you might take it away from the opposition, but you don't win it.

Chelsea are very happy to leak transfer news their end aren’t they? Must frustrate us when we’re trying to keep things in private and Chelsea leak deals which haven’t concluded yet.

It would appear that the Chelsea duo were leaked pre medical stage and pre full agreement on the structure of the deal & payments. Can only think that would be the selling club or agents doing. Not ours

No. Just commenting that a leak of a deal not yet fully concluded may give the wrong impression that things are taking a long time to move forwards
