Re: Edinburgh Fringe Festival
I've been in the past about 4 years ago. It's weird. I have a friend lives near Edinburgh and she was in one of the "shows" which tbf was very professional and extremely good in a properly decent venue. We also allowed ourselves to be shown into some of the less selubrious venues just off the main drag to see aspiring "actors" just basically acting bonkers and being barely remotely funny. In one pop up tent off the Royal Mile there were 4 of us in the audience and 11 people in the show! It's certainly an experience!

Aye, i try and see a mix of different stuff. Trimmed this year's visit down to 7 days, but will be seeing an average of 6 shows a day. Love itDark Cloud wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 4:03 pmI've been in the past about 4 years ago. It's weird. I'm there at the moment, day 3 for me, seen some brilliant stuff, in particular 'fly you fools' a lord of the rings parody at the pleasance courtyard. If seen some dross too, most notably, the butterfly who went to a rave, 20 quid and 60 mins I'll never see again.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 2:27 pmGoing next week including the Oasis gig on the 12th, Anyone else venturing up?

My favourite fringe gag of the year winner, from way back.
The dodo died, Dodi died, Di died, Dido must be shitting herself.

The street entertainment is usually superb.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 4:03 pmI've been in the past about 4 years ago. It's weird.
