Got injured towards the end of last season and never returned to the match day squad afterwards.

Been a cracking player for Padiham, and scored alot of goals for a center half.
Good signing for Nelson then. If Billy Priestley is still playing thats a fair centre back pairing for that level.

If there's any part time Padiham fans looking for a bit of early football, their 1st preliminary FA Cup match is at Penistone Church, August 2nd. Good, friendly club, easy to get to from either Sheffield / Huddersfield on train, a few decent pubs and a nice town. Home of John Stones.

The place where I live (Kendal Town) and my home town (Padiham) are playing on the 19th July.

Kendal Town got moved into the EBAC Northern Football League from the North West Counties so no longer play each other in the League anymore, sadly, but this friendly will be decent. Kendal have a new manager who is doing well for them so far. Been a good pre-season.

Padiham beat Daisy Hill 4-1 last night to keep up the 100% win rate in pre-season.

Padiham travel to Burnley Belvedere tomorrow night.

6-2 is a hell of a score line, surprised me.

I thought Padiham and Kendal were at a similar level. Hopefully not a reflection of the upcoming season.

Padiham have just signed there first EVER player on a proper weekly contract.

Freddie Machell, young lad from Burnley. Hes a great player destined for bigger things. Padiham have probably realised this and can demand a transfer fee for him, if and when a bigger club want to sign him.

Saw they've signed Jay Hart as well. Him and Brownhill should bag plenty at that level.

Yeah some strike force at that level.

Hopefully they can go one better than the last 2 seasons where they lost in the play offs.

The league title is there to be won, wide open this season with no teams like Bury & Macclesfield like previous.

Padiham 3 Wythenshawe 0

What a statement of intent from the Storks, alot are tipping Wythenshawe to win the league, not on todays showing.

Attendance 358

A great day all round for the storks.

I was there today, good game at a lovely ground. Pay on the gate, nice pint next to the pitch.. cracking. Brownhill (Joel) got a couple, Penistone will feel hard done by with a few decisions. Good luck to Padiham in next round.

Late winner from Brownhill as the Storks win 2-1 away in Stockport and go top of the league as the only team with a 100% record.

Euxton Villa at home Tuesday night.

Good win for the Storks last night against an "awkward" team who were previously unbeaten.
Sean also announced that the game in the Vase on Saturday the 23rd August against Sunderland RCA would kick off at 12.15, thereby enabling supporters of both clubs the chance to race over to the Turf to see the Clarets take on Sunderland at 3pm.

Got walloped 3 nowt today at Congleton in the FA cup, much relief to the lads up at cricket today who have booked the Isle of Man away in a fortnight.

Don't think thats a bad result for Padiham. Should have a serious chance of promotion this year, don't really need a fixture pile up.
