So at least 3000 people with membership / 2000 points.

How have you come to that conclusion?Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 1:03 pmSo at least 3000 people with membership / 2000 points.

And there will be far more with 2,000 points than there were last season.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 1:17 pmBecause most of the tickets have been sold, and we took over 3,000?!
Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Well I had over 2000 points last season but dipped below this season because I lost all the away points from 5 years ago.

But given that away tickets get 20 points now and given people were able to get another 230 points by downloading home tickets, the number of people with 2,000 must be way higher than it was at the start of last season.

Looks like there is about 50 tickets left, not sure how many more blocks to be added though?

None, it's 229 to 233.

Well the stats today suggest your right because there’s going to be no tickets left at the end of today. So a good guideline now is that any popular away trip with 3k or less tickets is going to sell out before it reaches anyone under 2000 pointsClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 1:46 pmBut given that away tickets get 20 points now and given people were able to get another 230 points by downloading home tickets, the number of people with 2,000 must be way higher than it was at the start of last season.
Were any points issued for buying Lazio tickets?
Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Unbelievable 4 hours of sales this morning then.

Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Be interesting to see how many have 2 thousand points now.
Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
No, no points for any of the 3 friendlies.Tinribs wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 2:16 pmWell the stats today suggest your right because there’s going to be no tickets left at the end of today. So a good guideline now is that any popular away trip with 3k or less tickets is going to sell out before it reaches anyone under 2000 points

Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Couple of years ago people were complaining about the loyalty point system. Today, too many people have loyalty points so tickets sell out quick. The club can't win. Same with complaints about Parker last season, and complaints about the CFS changes. A vocal minority in each scenario have skewed the reality that most fans are happy to go with the flow. Messageboard echo chambers aren't the best place for the club to seek opinion from.

Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
I think most people were expecting that day one this season would be greater than 2,000 points. Not sure what that has to do with Parker but as for the CFS changes, I sit in the Longside Upper and twelve days before the first home game I've still not received any information that I am going to have a much longer walk to the bus station after the game.claret wizard wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 3:05 pmCouple of years ago people were complaining about the loyalty point system. Perhaps it might be reasonable for the club to increase the number of loyalty points required for the first day of sale, say to 2,250 or 2,500, especially for high profile away games that are likely to sell out.claret wizard wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 3:05 pmCouple of years ago people were complaining about the loyalty point system. Or maybe take more tickets in the first place ...
Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
So, for those who have finally got to 2000 points, you think it a good idea that the club now moves the target further away? You reap what you sow. This all came after the Blackpool whinge fest in the VK season, led by a few people upset that they couldn’t go to a nearby game.

Can't take more than 3000 or 10% if the capacity is less than 30,000.

The last block of 233 on sale now. So about 70 tickets,
of the original sale there are three singles left.

Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
The reality here is that even if you did that you are only moving the goalposts. The ones with the most loyalty points are still likely to meet that criteria.
Whatever system is in place will be perceived to be unfair to those that didn’t get a ticket.
What I would like to see more than anything is clear outline of how 3000 tickets are divvied up.
How many to members.
How many to Hospitality members
How many to players and staff
How many to the foundation
How many to anybody else I haven’t thought about.
Which then leaves you with a number for season ticket holders.
Only then can you see where a system needs to be altered or rejigged. At the minute there is too much speculation and guesswork, which adds to the general frustration of anyone who can not get a ticket.

I did mention that it might be an idea for more high profile games.
There wont be any such problems when we play away at Brighton, Crystal Palace or maybe even Wolves.
Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Add to that another question....why do hospitality members get to buy 4 tickets?MrTopTier wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 4:41 pmThe reality here is that even if you did that you are only moving the goalposts. The ones with the most loyalty points are still likely to meet that criteria.

Re: 2025/26: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Probably because they pay a ludicrous amount to be a hospitality member in the first place, would be my guess.
It’s a good point though.

With the new system though people would eventually catch up if they went to enough games, which wasn't the case before.MeeActon1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 3:26 pmSo, for those who have finally got to 2000 points, you think it a good idea that the club now moves the target further away? As for how many tickets disappear to sponsors etc with the size of the playing/backroom squad these days a decent chunk must go there now. And i'm sure a sponsor like Barnfield could basically get as many as they wanted.

How can I ever get into the 2000 category when Iam on 1980 points but cant buy tickets to increase my points......?
I can live with not going to OT this year but desperate to go to Bramley Moore

You will get five points every time you use your season ticket on the Turf which will soon take you past 2,000.Awayfromburnley wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 5:14 pmFrustrating this really.

The club posted that 2000 pts would be the threshold soon after the fixtures came out. Our group commented on it at the time that it would make Monday mornings interesting. I wonder if they’ll stick to it?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 3:09 pmI think most people were expecting that day one this season would be greater than 2,000 points. I was just using Parker and the CFS situation that you tend only to hear the moaning few far more than the wider majority. True, I think there’s a lot more to moan about in reference to the CFS. Maybe you should try and move to the CFS, it’ll be a much shorter walk now.

There'll be plenty of away games where you won't need 2k points and therefore be able to get a ticket.Awayfromburnley wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 5:14 pmFrustrating this really.

It is funny that lots of people were saying their kids had no chance of reaching the first purchase period. Now the loyalty scheme has changed and they can they complain what they have to pay for a kids tickets!

Yeah that's obviously right - 3,000 tickets, 100 premium members..... Not foundation members, staff and club comps, supporter clubs, hospitality holders.....
