Going to general sale at this rate :-)

My thoughts are that anyone who wants a ticket knows someone with over 2000 pts so just gets them to buy it. Then we see a slow down forn the lower thresholds. Anyone who really wants a ticket to this game should have bought one by now apart from maybe overseas or remote fans with a smaller fan freind group.

Possibly late yesterday some people with under 2000 points had given up the hope of getting tickets today, seeing as there were only a handful of tickets showing as available and block 229 not showing any tickets. Maybe those people have not even bothered looking today.
I definitely had

After yesterday “telling” mrs-w I was planning on getting tickets today, I then told her last night I wouldn’t be going as it looked like all the tickets would be gone.

It was only seeing the update on here that block 229 was now on sale that I knew some were available

I now need to retell mrs-w I’m going again

Don’t loyalty points get added when you buy season ticket?

Getting points for just downloading them is double counting surely?
Can anyone explain how to download the ticket? And does this mean you get ten points per match for simply downloading the ticket? Thanks

Its 5 apparently for downloading your ticket.

I have been moved to the new home section of the CFS and apparently have to do it for the first home game, although likewise have no idea how to do it.

About 100 tickets left.

It's easy to to if you logon t your ticketing accoutn from your smartphone. It'll show you the tickets you can manage in your account section and you can select the tickets you want to manage. You then get an option to download the tickets. Unfortunetly this option hasn't appeared for those in the cricketfield stand yet. We only have option to forward ticket to a freind or sell on ticket exchange. Weirdly neither of these was possible last year. SO I wouldn't do anything until nearer the time and I'm sure plenty will be talking about it on here.

Anyone know anything about if they'll add public buses from burnley bus station to Manchester as that'll be the way we get there?

There is a frequent X43 service runs Burnley to Manchester, then just get a tram from the city centre.

They dont normally put on extra buses so if you are going on the X43 it's best to go for an early one.

Hi Gilly, glad you're doing well for yourself old bean.

Do you think it's right to pay £58 to take a 13 and 11 year old to a game?

Genuine question.
You may have clocked from my triple-lock dig that I was talking more about the Over 66 price. Regardless, it's not really about whether you're doing well for yourself - the point was just about everything has rocketed in price in the last 10 years since the £30 cap was introduced (which I now understand is here to stay a little longer too), but away tickets in the Premier League have not. So I'm surprised anybody is surprised.

Has anyone had any luck ordering a ticket under a different price category than the respective clarets number? I used to be able to order full price adult tickets using my dad’s (over 65) clarets number but when I tried today I had to put it through at an over 65 price.

Also - just a thought on the tiny reduction in concession prices. I reckon this is to stop adults from buying cheap concession tickets and using them on unmanned turnstiles.

Not sure why but there won’t be a general sale for this game although having said that it won’t reach that point.

Last season you could definitely buy full price tickets via a clarets number attached to an over 65s. We tried it for the spurs game but it didn't work, so had to use an adults number.

You can only order tickets at the age category of each ST holder.

About 120 tickets showing now as still available. So as you say, may not get to General Sale.

So you cant upgrade a child's ticket to an adults ticket, why when adults tickets cost more? I could understand if it was the opposite way around with the cheaper ticket.

Starting to work how the money people want it to.

Buy priority / premium memberships.....reduces supply - increases demand.

Not so long ago many Premier League fixtures went to general sale. Anyone remember when the club offered extra loyalty points (50) just to go to Everton?

I got my tickets for United using my accrued loyalty points.
We went to Bournemouth away on a Wednesday night around that time and got 10 points but got 50 for Everton. The ticketing has never been bang on.

I had no problem last season when an adult used my over 65 clarets number
I don't have a problem with the cracking down on it, as long as they do it with every other loophole in ticketing, which they won't, so why pick on the over 65s to clamp down on?

Apparently there were people who were trying to buy kids and adult tickets with over 65s. Previously there'd been no issues but I think it was the Sheff Wed game when they had problems.

You could but i think they changed it from the Sheffield Wednesday game. That was when it wouldn't allow me to buy a senior because they had mysteriously lost a lot of dates of birth.

I used it long after that game, we used an over 65 number but paid full price for the ticket, last time it was used was QPR away

There must have been a flaw in the system then, or changed without notification because I ordered a full price adult ticket with an U65 season ticket for QPR which was the final away game of the season. It’s still available to view on my account history. I also ordered an adult ticket on a child’s season ticket at PNE.

Well, whatever it was last season, this season you can only order a ticket in the same category as the ST holder.

Yep, stop on the NE side now. You can get the red line from Victoria direct to Ponoma for a short walk to OT.

Might be best to put any info like this on the General info thread for Man U.
I'm sure it will help some out.

The last time we played in Manchester the X43 buses were more or less full when they left Burnley.
Anyone wanting to catch the bus between Loveclough and Rawtenstall were struggling to do so.

In fact from mid morning onwards the buses didn't even go into Rawtenstall bus station because of the large numbers of people who were there waiting to get on an X43 bus to Manchester.

Passengers wanting to get off at Rawtenstall were dropped across the road from Asda and the buses then continued to the bypass towards Manchester without going into the bus station.

People waiting there at Rawtenstall were being advised to get the bus to Bury and then to get the tram into Manchester.

The X43 now goes to and from Shudehill interchange in Manchester but I don't know why that would be relevant in this case?
