A 100% physically and mentally fit Tresor gets in ahead of all of those players.

Koleosho.
Fair, I’d be reluctant to do so because 1. He played all last season in efforts to get here 2. His best attributes are / were suited to the Prem.

I’m not sure how we can draw this conclusion…

I just don't see it with him (yet) + Trésor can play central out of those you listed.

It's about opinions and mine, based on the Tresor I saw play for Genk, is that he is a more rounded player than the 4 you stuck up. It's fine if you disagree.

If he does get on the pitch, what if anything extra will it cost us for his transfer?
Why would it cost extra other than in a performance type bonus to him? No idea of the deal but it was clearly agreed as part of his loan so not sure you would also have add ons for certain amount of games etc and surely if you did it wouldn’t be 1 game

I have no evidence, but there is something weird about VK using MT so little in the PL season and never in a league game since, notwithstanding his injuries/ illness.

One more PL game might mean a significant fee increase.

That was when he was on loan not sure there is any link now to what happened in prem last time. He is purchased so the loan part of the deal is dead, the only way we pay more is if there are bonuses linked to games played, goals scored etc. that would only be since we bought him and I would be shocked if the bonus linked to games played was as low as 1

I would rather have Tresor on the bench than any of JBL, Koleosho and Tchouna

Just purely down to the fact Both Koleosho and Tchouna need a breakout season (both haven’t really done anything in their careers yet). JBL is ok but I think Tresor is a better player and more likely to produce an assist or create something (I know JBL scored a few last time)

A new £12.5m signing will be in the squad, I feel. JBL scored 6 goals in the season Tresor was available and featured. He also offers flexibility for Parker, could probably play as a hybrid wing back / winger in his 5 that flips to a 4, as an attacking sub. Koleosho is the possible one, but I still think a) loyalty to someone who played last season b) he was valued at >£20m after his appearances last time in the Prem… maybe Tresor will have to wait for an injury to one of them / another attacker in the first 11.

Most of us haven't a clue really have we?

Probably a back 5, but not 100%
God knows who is fit to play or still injured/gaining match fitness.

Team Line ups will be very interesting, possibly ending up with the forum collapsing and setting on fire!

I would understand the argument for showing loyalty to an 'ever present' in the promotion season but whilst Koleosho was more than bit part, he wasn't a vital cog. He's still v young and has potential but we can't afford to be sentimental if we are to survive in the Prem. Edwards featured on a more consistent basis after he joined but he rarely played the full 90, possibly reflecting a lack of sharpness/game time when he arrived.

We can have all of JBL, Koleosho, Tchouna and Edwards on the bench if we play Anthony at RWB and play Tresor on the wing. Can move from a 5 to a 4 at the back by pushing Anthony further forward and moving Walker to RB. All dependent on Tresor being 100% physically and mentally fit, which I appreciate is far from certain.

I'll be quite surprised if our team for Spurs isn't the team we saw start against Lazio.

Potentially be in the squad but your argument for Tchouna doesn’t make sense, if value what dictates who’s in the squad then Tresor definitely will be.

JBL again, I just never understood the signing to begin with.

Koleosho has to be the one to drop out anyway, he’s been poor all year last year and I don’t think stepping up will convince Parker otherwise.

Parker had his press conference earlier and I'm sure he suggested he has a full squad to choose from.

He did, but the written press get to ask more specific questions afterwards, beyer has had a setback, as has Humphreys, Roberts and Flemming are both training but have missed most of pre season, The 3 new lads aren't fully up to speed, but are available for selection.

Ah fair enough.
So Beyer out.
Probably too early for Humpreys, Roberts and Flemming to make the bench.
Tchaouna, Broja and Lesley will realistically start on the bench and maybe feature at some point.

I hope we do really have a go at teams when it's the right time to do so,, and just not sit back all the time.

I think we've got some genuine pace in the team this season, especially out wide and we can cause problems to Spurs if we have that belief. Of course, Premier League teams are World class on the counter, so that needs to be a major consideration, but I certainly think we can create opportunities on Saturday..

I expect Lesley to come in for Laurent and maybe Dubravka in too but we will see. Other than that my guess is unchanged.

I see that team with 2 aggressive pressing attackers in Hannibal and Anthony as being back to being “Burnley 0” by default, but I think Parker will start that way, with an abundance of caution that may test our patience after a few games.

Then, hopefully, unless ahead, the front three could be replaced by Broja, Tresor and Edwards to add more spontaneous creativity and get something out of the game late on. I just hope Edwards and Tresor get a fair crack of the whip, Edwards in particular transformed us last season, forcing the opposition back even if not adding many goals or assists.

Bit of nostalgia to get you thinking " Could we get a win at Spurs?"

Look at that United team against ours. What a result that was!

I see everyone seems to have gone with Hladky as the starting keeper if Dubravka isn't fit. However, I think Weiss would start, as Parker did say he would be the No 2 when he signed him.

I'd like to squeeze Hannibal in the team somewhere but think he misses out in that formation.

Could be right. I didn't watch the Lazio game or seen any highlights, but the reports suggest we dominated most of the game?

So Parker might have been impressed enough to stick with it.

I don't see Roberts starting yet, so I think we go with the same team as Lazio apart from the three new faces. First and foremost, we have to be difficult to beat. This 11 has legs and/or physicality right through the team. Work harder than them, upset their rhythm, and force mistakes. We'd have quite a strong bench as well with lots of attacking options to change things up. In the perfect world it's 0-0 after 70 minutes, they start getting a bit desperate, and we can exploit the space in behind by bringing on the likes of Edwards, Koleosho, and Foster.

Dubravka
Walker Ekdal Esteve
Sonne Cullen Ugochuckwu Hartman
Hannibal Anthony
Broja

First 60 mins before we made any subs we looked good, solid at the back and caused them problems going forward... think we hit bar 3 times which I know means nothing but I thought we looked good so wouldn't shock me if he stays with a similar team with new lads on bench

I'd like to see les in there though
