First day of the season and I’m having a little stag do. Whatever the result, I suspect I’ll be jolly later.

Off to a Food & Drink festival so will have FotMob on high alert. Will take a solid and promising performance and if it's a defeat, then a narrow one with something to build on.

Let's have a repeat of the first day of the 2017-18 season, only at a different London ground.

Have a good one Pearcey. Congrats. With a bit of luck you'll have two reasons to be jolly.

Enjoy it whilst you can. You’ll be looking forward to the international break in 4 hours.

 It's a long old season. Just nice to have it back and to enjoy every remaining minute of that pre-season optimism.
