It’s tough, games are going to be so hard and we have VAR to put up with. But I always want my club to be the best it can be and it’s wonderful to be back.

So we are starting the season with a weaker side than last season.

Who would have imagined Laurent, Sonne, Foster and Ekdal would start the season when we were celebrating promotion??
Congratulations agent. You win the award of the 'first matchday moan of the season'.

Surprised no Luca no the bench, he really troubled Lazio with his pace.

Injury’s and late arrivals unhelpful but we look woefully short of quality. Need a massive effort from everyone today.

We have better options on the bench anyway but is Barnes injured?

Happy New Season from grey Deryshire hills.
Back in the day, when I was a nipper, Spurs was one of the first fixtures I looked for.

In all honesty
I would have been worried with that side in the Championship

I love Barnes for his time here but I don’t want to see him in the squad this season .

Meaning our other options are fit hopefully

Anything can happen in this league. Who'd thought we'd have beaten United at home all them years ago.

Hopefully Spurs underestimate us, with the lads who have been given a shirt busting a gut for the team and making it theirs to lose.

Odds are against us but this is a much more settled line up for me than the one we started with against City under VK.

Guys lets focus on the game today please. Back the lads. We can all bicker later.
Good sentiment but many of us are p****d off with such blatant negativity an hour before the game. Strong suspicion of trolling this thread. There are some miserable b******s in Burnley and all of them seem to post on this thread.

I completely agree and have said as much earlier in the thread, but rising to it only ruins the thread.

This season's CJ?

Is there any chance you could just give it a rest?

You've said your piece now, the action is about to start and it would be good if this thread could be about the game and not posters going at each other.

I agree, compare today’s starting eleven compared to last times.

Last time we started with this team:

Trafford
Al Dakhil, Beyer, O’Shea, Roberts
Vitinho, Berge, Cullen, Koleosho
Amdouni, Foster

That team was so unbalanced and physically weak. This team is more experienced, bigger physically and set up in a much more rigid system.

I’m optimistic and will happily take a 0-0 now
Couldn't agree more and none of that touches on our bench which looks extremely strong and offensive. Scott has clearly set us up to be tight and should we go behind we have plenty on the bench. I am quite optimistic this afternoon UTC

The numbers should be right aligned. It is so bad, it is almost like they are doing it on purpose.

Make me laugh the pundits referring to Spurs as a Champions League club

They only reason they are a Champions League club, after finishing 17th in the league last season, is by winning the European equivalent of the Papa Johns Trophy

They are possibly nervous. Although it does look like we are going to allow them to play well into our half.

Romero should have been booked for a pointless elbow to Fosters head.
Sh!t they’ve scored.
