At the game and since the first 10 mins we've played really well . I'd like to see Leslie for Laurent after 60 minutes if fit .

Re: Spuds v Super Clarets Match Thread
So far so good I think, bar the goal, which was avoidable.
Hartman looks a good outlet going forward, Esteve and Ekdal look to have woken up since the goal, Laurent has massively impressed me in the step up, Hannibal is pivotal to how we play, Anthony growing into the game but appears a little light weight, Foster has been great with his hold up and running.
We could easily get something from this game

I suspect if we are behind, after 70 mins, attackers will come on.Clive 1960 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 16, 2025 4:00 pmFleming on for Hannibal for me and let's go for it they are not that good..

Re: Spuds v Super Clarets Match Thread
The defender obviously didn’t know that or he wouldn’t have shoved him and all that is irrelevant as the ball was live.

Re: Spuds v Super Clarets Match Thread
We look ok, pretty passing, but this team doesn't look like it has goals in it unfortunately.
Thats the hardest part of being in this league.
We don't have a goalscorer on the pitch.

Re: Spuds v Super Clarets Match Thread
I would. Because they are the laws of the game
When referees, fans, players, VAR... start asking for referees to ignore the laws of the games, then we might as well just give up

It's a new rule, that Oliver and VAR have just invented but it only applies to Burnley players.Poulton-le-Claret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 16, 2025 3:49 pmGreat to know you can shove players over in the box if they don’t have the ball.

Watching the Bein Stream and they seem almost resentful Spurs aren't stuffing us.
Resentful that we've had more shots ,...
Sickening.

A bit of a panic all coming from a slightly lazy pass out from Josh L.

That being said, it would be interesting to know the decison if it was in the opposite penalty area and a Spurs player going to ground.
Not sure it would have been so cut and dried.

Laurent with a couple of mistakes early in this second half. Needs to be a bit sharper than he has been at this level.

Richarlason the new Son!
Re: Spuds v Super Clarets Match Thread
Great save
Re: Spuds v Super Clarets Match Thread
Was that Laurent that gave the ball away? I like him but his passing lets him down.

Doesn't look like we haven't quite lost that habit of putting ourselves in trouble by giving the ball away in dangerous positions...
