Well done all 4, most deserved and a pity that 3 seek pastures new!

Just as it was in 2023, the PFA player and TOTY are far more reasonable than the equivalent Skybet awards - says it all when the players themselves are voting.

The daftest one was the league awards that limited it to three players from any one team. This one you always take notice of because it is the players voting.

As an aside, for those who think Josh Brownhill might u-turn and come back, Burnley have congratulated Estève on getting in the team while completely ignoring the achievements of Trafford, Egan-Riley and Brownhill.

To lose three of these players shows where our deficiencies lie. If we were starting this season with a team containing these 4 we'd be in a very different place. Immediately the back 5 would be nailed on and looking stronger - Trafford, Walker, CJ, Esteve, Hartmann. That's a great back 5. Such a shame we've not been able to make that happen.

I get the feeling the club haven't been too impressed with Brownhill's antics.

Maybe they haven't but I was astonished that they chose to ignore three players who were recognised last night because of their performances for our club.

Have to say I found it very poor that they made no reference to the three departed players. All three played such a huge part in what we achieved last season and should have been recognised with at least a line in the club's story.

I think it's fair enough with Egan Riley. Possibly Trafford as well but I think it's a shame that someone like Brownhill who has experienced so much with the club has left in the manner he has.

I can understand the club feeling a bit aggrieved though, I presume we've been strung along for a couple of years up until a few weeks ago. Even leaving the door open for him after he'd gone for a couple of months.
