Re: Tonights Football
No surprise that things are not going well at Ibrox. It was an inexplicable appointment and unpopular with the fanbase even before a ball was kicked.
How many games will Russell Martin last?
I reckon the away game at St Mirren on Sunday is a must win game now.
(They've got Brugge away and then Celtic the following week, and all before the end of August!)

Re: Tonights Football
Anyone else watching Stockport v Bradford
Owen Dodgson playing well. Ollie Norwood running the game
Bradford are being battered but hanging in at 1-0
Stockport look like a good bet for promotion
As last week excellent away following from the Bantams

As much as I've no time for Stockport, I'm really pleased Owen Dodgson is playing well for them.EarbyClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2025 8:31 pmAnyone else watching Stockport v Bradford

Owen is having a good game. Involved aplenty.
Stockport are all over Greza's lads.

Stockport look really good for the level, number 7 diamond looks very tricky.EarbyClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2025 8:31 pmAnyone else watching Stockport v Bradford

Re: Tonights Football
I've no idea how he got the Saints job tbh, when he brought Swansea to the Turf when we were under VK we absolutely battered them because of how open they were. What possessed Saints to go for him then Rangers is beyond my comprehension tbh. He's a League One manager at best.
Re: Tonights Football
I thought Dodgson was excellent for Dundee whenever I saw him play. I feel he could have deputised quite well last season at LB, but I suppose he is not exotic enough for us now.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2025 8:34 pmAs much as I've no time for Stockport, I'm really pleased Owen Dodgson is playing well for them.

RM has been digging his players out in post match interviews since the very first game, too.

If that's an 'upfront ' post, that's a real statement.

Re: Tonights Football
Grezza"s two HT subs completely changed Bradford's approach - they've taken the game to Stockport after showing them too much respect in the opening 45 minutes
This is a good watch - proper old school game

Re: Tonights Football
Watched Stockport 2nd half. After ditching Gers. Can only concur with above comments on Dodgson. His passing was superb for pace, accuracy and delivering it where they wanted it. Far too good for 3rd tier.
Re: Tonights Football
At Burton Dodgson was on free kicks and corners, tonight he stepped up for most of them but Ollie Norwood took them. The set plays were all poor. You'd have to think it'll only be a matter of time before Dodgson gets his chance to take them because his deliveries are generally far more dangerous. From what I've seen on the telly Dodgson is great at getting forward but he's nothing special when it comes to defending. In the second half he seemed to have far less time on the ball, I'm sure that Grezza noticed that Stockport were consistently causing them problems down the left and reorganised to reduce that threat.
