Re: ARTICLE: Walker is the day one winner
Thats exactly how I saw the top four players performing. Walker showed great reading of the game combined with speed and physicality. So pleased to see Foster get close to him. Lets hope a run of these performances gets certain posters off his backClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 9:33 amMan of the match and player ratings result v Spurs

Well deserved, he's definitely a class above - evident after just one game.
Also pleased for Foster. If he can stay injury free I think he'll be the biggest surprise for many this season.

As Mancunia says, pretty obvious he's got that class (and of course experience) that we're going to need.

I think that's a bit of star gazing. I thought he had a difficult afternoon alongside Sonne and Ekdal but what do I know....

He was certainly a cut above. Cullen ran him close. I suspect Walker will run away with the player ratings this season.

Agree with this. Nobody stood out throughout the game. Walker as apt a choice as any I suppose.ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 10:18 amI think that's a bit of star gazing. I thought he had a difficult afternoon alongside Sonne and Ekdal but what do I know....
