Just got the same error message when trying to purchase for me and a mate. I'm quite close to the ticket office this afternoon so might pop in and see if they can sort.

It wouldn't be ticketing if something didn't go wrong. I wouldn't call in today Ightenhill_Claret, they are closed on a Wednesday.Ightenhill_Claret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 10:39 amJust got the same error message when trying to purchase for me and a mate. It’s beyond a joke now.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 10:42 amIt wouldn't be ticketing if something didn't go wrong. I wouldn't call in today Ightenhill_Claret, they are closed on a Wednesday.
They are trying to launch a number of new functions within the existing shambles of a ticketing system. None of them appear to be working. The systems are going live without adequate testing and the only way they are finding out it’s not working is when supporters like ourselves are faced with the errors and issues.
You then end up in a situation of trying to ring the ticket office or going into resolve it but because none of them know how to fix the issues they do not ring you back or just cannot deal with you. Apparently we have 2 “technical” in house people looking at all this.
I do feel sorry for a lot of the front end ticket office staff having to front all this every day. It cannot be nice dealing with customers and not being able to do anything about it.
But the person who is running this shambles is to blame. Why are they rolling out functionality that has not been tested and is not working days before the first home game and not having an alternative process ? They know it’s not working so should just pull the system especially as they knew they were running out of time. Just don’t launch it.

Re: Derby Tickets Error Message
all sorted now, spoke with the ticket office and they were aware of the issue, however when I challenged them on the phone regarding this issue and other's with the ticketing system, he said they are happy with how its currently going with ticket master, I said it was a shambles, he disagreed.

It does work well for many users, the problem will be finding why it doesn't work for those having problemssykeclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 2:26 pmall sorted now, spoke with the ticket office and they were aware of the issue, however when I challenged them on the phone regarding this issue and other's with the ticketing system, he said they are happy with how its currently going with ticket master, I said it was a shambles, he disagreed.
So many different issues..operating systems, devices, firewall set ups, vpn set ups, user errors, anti virus set ups, all these will be different with all users, the expertise is finding where the problem is.

The websites and ticketing systems have all been build incorrectly.
The reason most of us use the website is for tickets. Have a count up of how many different places on our various sites and ticketing systems have a ‘tickets” tab. Have a count how many different profile buttons there are. It’s the same with personal information. If you can easily find the transfer ticket function in less than 10 mins let me know - and yes this is a different function to ticket exchange.
Navigating around all this is a joke to try and get to where you need to.
Then there are the data breaches the club has been reported for - personal addresses held in 4 different places. Third parties with old address data.
The functionality that has been rolled out which has not been tested properly and they find out it’s not working when supporters are trying to use it.
Dress it up as you want but it’s shambolic - and it’s getting worse.
More stuff being launched this week - let’s see how that goes eh.

Some had problems at spurs, but 2000 got in with no problem
Some couldn't buy derby tickets yesterday, yet others could.
You say it's difficult to find the transfer ticket function, yet if I go to manage a ticket it's there, less than a minute to find. It also gives the option to upgrade, but only for tickets you manage.
No doubt some are having problems and no doubt it needs sorting, but it's not as many as you think.

Re: Derby Tickets Error Message
Many had problems buying the Spurs tickets in the first place as reported on here. It was absolute chaos that morning. As for getting in with no problem, that's not the case either. There were a good number of our supporters whose tickets wouldn't work. Whose fault that was I don't know but in the end the staff there just had to usher them in.

It’s not under manage tickets though is it ? It’s under view account menu and then under ticketing…..and to get to that point you are having to go through at least 3 different websites pages that all look the same. I have no idea what you are looking at but it’s not a transfer ticket function.Row x wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 4:35 pmHow many supporters are we talking about?

In terms of the number of people having problems i have no idea why you are trying to defend the club. Good for you if you have not had problems - every single one of our group of 15 have had lots of issues (and not the same issue) in the last 2 years. It’s one of the biggest issues being raised by the supporters groups.
You think if it wasn’t many people they would have been reported for data breaches ?
Happy to leave it there though - it’s fine for us to disagree on this and really don’t want to get into a long debate.

I've just done it with my Sunderland ticket, 3 options..ticket exchange....forward to a friend and upgrade. Less than a minute to be primed ready to transfer

Already said (twice now) that transfer ticket function is a different function to ticket exchange.
It’s far easier if you actually read a post before you keep responding to it.

I said 3 options
1. Ticket exchange
2. Forward to a friend
3. Upgrade
I think you'll find option 2 is the one you're after, separate from ticket exchange

Different functions
Can I explain it any clearer than to say that there is ticket transfer option that says ‘ticket transfer” on it. “Forward to a friend” is a different function - but congratulations on finding that one.

I’ve checked on mine
I could email it to any of the 6 people in my friends and family
And I could put it on the exchange
There’s an option to search outside your network, so I’ll try that but surely my email is not outside my own ticketing account

Point is you can’t currently download the ticket digitally to your own wallet
This is something that is supposed to be available and is encouraged by 5 extra loyalty points and many have also sought this option out as a contingency in anticipation of their New Season Ticket Card not arriving

On the point of downloading does that only become live a couple of days before the game. I've never tried it, but sure I read that on here at some point.

It’s for transferring your ticket for an individual game to a third party - ie not someone who is in your friends and family list. Hence it being a completely different function to ticket exchange.
It was launched this week and it’s not working correctly.
I’ve already said numerous times that the option is called ticket transfer.
I was only referencing this as one of the many issues being experienced by fans.
Despite all the many threads and posts we have had on ticketing issues in the last 2 years for whatever reason you always end up defending the club and saying that it’s not a big issue.

You put in the intended recipients Clarets number and surname

The transfer ticket function is under the view account menu and then under ticketing. There are 8 different options under this and ticket transfer is the last function and was launched in the last few days. As said it is not working - it’s crashing at the end of the process and there’s a system error notification. Been like this for the last 2 days. It was supposed to be available to us 10 days before the Sunderland game.
There was a group of us planning to use it this week as we can’t attend the game and we are now waiting for an alternative after being told for weeks that this would be working.
