Good report as always
What I like about us is we have changed to a new system/approach at this level and still look solid. Unlike the last time under VK. Clean sheet and lots of positives to take from this game.

Think there’s a line to be taken out Tony :
“ Testing this because the word has just become ridiculous as the lines change and indent as you move along.”

I think you’ve got a random sentence in there TonyClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 8:38 pmBurnley v Sunderland report

Either that or I’m completely lost on that event during the game

I'm equally baffled, not sure where that came from and I definitely didn't write it, but I always write the reports in Word before transferring them and it's in there too.
It's now been removed.

Great report Tony. There's still a couple of typos in there though.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 9:29 pmI'm equally baffled, not sure where that came from and I definitely didn't write it, but I always write the reports in Word before transferring them and it's in there too.

“ Often they reckon a goal needs a game” - think you mean a game needs a goal.

Re: REPORT: Off the mark with our first win
I really should be getting used to seeing Premier League football by now. Oddly enough, as I finished reading Tony’s report, I glanced at the lineup and for reasons unknown, I brought to mind the times when we were signing ageing, free transfer journeymen in Division Four. It was almost a ‘pinch me’ moment. It was certainly a different time, and I could never have imagined what we have now.

This is where AI is your friend. It can spot these for you.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 10:03 pmIf you point them out, I'll correct them but it's so difficult to proof read your own stuff, you just don't spot the errors.

Re: REPORT: Off the mark with our first win
Very important psychologically to be outside of the bottom three after spending ALL season there last time.
And being mid table having shown we can win at this level (albeit v a promoted team) should help to encourage new signings this week. Fingers crossed we can bring the 2-3 quality players in this week that could make such a positive difference.

CT--lets hope there are many more winning reports. I know its only two games but the psychology of a win has been a wonderful lift. Its the highest position we have been in the PL in 24 months
