This website looks pretty good. It shows various matches between Burnley reserves v Liverpool reserves with team names and match reports, from the Central League after the war in the 40s/50s.

Top Photo, front row bottom left is my Father GordonHaigh he signed for Burnley in 1946 till 1950. Top right is Jack Butterfield ( he suffered a badly broken leg and had to retire)

As I skimmed this I read; "Father Gordon Haigh" - a priest playing for us.
